I'm wondering if anyone knows the status (injured, holdout, retired, benched, demoted, etc). of these
players:

Joe Murphy, Edmtn
Joe Mullen, Pitt
Randy Burridge, Wash
Michel Mongeau, TB
Peter Stasny, NJ
Dmitri Khristich, Wash

Please post replies to the net since I have no E-mail :(
Thanks in advance.

Joe Murphy is a free agent and is holding out on an offer.

Joe Mullen had a serious knee injury last April and is listed as
indefinite.

I waited until I had a game program in my hands before replying. I haven't
heard of him playing during the season and he's not on the roster, so he must
be in Atlanta. Perhaps the IHL contact(s) can help out. No Atlanta Knights
news makes it down here.

I was pretty impressed with his skill in the preseason and I'm surprised he's
not on the roster.

well, I saw a Peoria Journal Star last week that had him playing for
Milwaukee, and scoring a bunch. I watched him for a couple years here
in Peoria, and he was great. he was with the Blues for a while last
season, but I guess he was picked up in the expansion draft?????

Mongeau is indeed in Milwaukee--I saw him play last Friday against Peoria
and he scored a goal and had an assist in a 6-2 loss. I thought he was
involved in a trade with Tampa Bay before the expansion draft (including
Jablonski, Tuttle and Robinson or something like that) but I could be
wrong. Milwaukee is an independent team (no NHL affiliation) but it could
be that Tampa worked out a deal with them since Atlanta may be too full
with other talent.

You are wrong. Michel Mongeau was the first forward drafted by Tampa Bay
in the expansion draft. Steve Tuttle and Darin Kimble are the forwards
who were involved in the trade with Jablonski and co.
