Hey, just wondering why Rob Brown hasn't got another shot at the NHL? I
know he's not a great skater and has a bad reputation as a flake and
slacker, but you'd think some team would take a chance on the guy after all
this time. He has shown he can put up some impressive numbers. He might be
a big headache but he could also help out San Jose or Tampa Bay's (etc)
powerplay. What do you guys think? Should he get another shot?

Thanks,

Joe

Brown was a brutal skater in the bigs 5 years ago and lightweight on the
physical side of the puck. In the time since, the skating game has
stepped up a notch (while he's likely slowed with age) and the players
are bigger. Attitude aside, i wouldn't use up a roster spot with him.
Perhaps an expansion team desparate for goals will see things
differently. I just don't see how he can work his way to the net with
those wheels.

he can't skate, and he can't score at the NHL level without Lemieux.

The Penguins, Kings, and Stars are just a few of the teams
that have given Rob Brown MORE than a shot. He can skate
very well in my opinion, he holds virtually every scoring
record in the W.H.L. If I am G.M. of the Sharks, I get
Brown today! But unfortunately he has used up all of his
"shots".

Rob Brown is only a good player if he plays with good players
otherwise he is nothing. Tampa bay or san jose would be crazy to take
a chance on him, he must have a playmaking centre to play with. Bring
mario back and rob brown might be a good acquisition.

Rob Brown is in the Penguins training camp this season
trying one more comeback. I read this on the ESPNet site.
