Tim Connors
My friends and I never agree on one thing: Who's the best American born
hockey player. There are a number of strong possibilities, but I think
that its a tossup between Jeremy Roenick and Pat Lafontaine. Different
styles, but both very effective. There are strong arguments for Jimmy
Carson, Brian Leetch and Phil Housley as well. Leetch is without
question the best defenceman ever produced by the U.S. , if not by
anywhere, but as far as forwards go, I'll stick with Pat and Jeremy.
I also think that Richter is the best goalie.

I agree with you. Orr is the greatest d-man of all time, he opened
the door for Coffey and Leetch. I ws just saying that I though Leetch
was the best *current* defenceman. (In my opinion)

Yeah, so? The psoter was talking about American-born players. I
believe Orr was born in Ontario.
