What do the fans know? 90% of Penguin fans are drunks or sluts anyway,
just ask WDVE. :)
A) There will never be a "Next Mario" just like there will never be a
"Next" Gretzky, Roy, Orr, etc. Jagr is Jagr, end of story.
B) Jaromir is struggling under the new system CampCon has started. Jagr
is no longer allowed, he was told directly, to skate freely. He has to
stick to the system and score when he can, not stick to scoring and
blend with the system when he can.
Give him some time. Ten games proves nothing. Plus, with the loss of
Mario and the absence of "Mr Greedy" Petr Nedved, Jagr is the only true
offensive threat so he is always against the other teams best D. Once
Nedved grows up and signs Jagr's numbers will improve, even though they
wont be on the same line.
Jim
He could definitely be the decisive factor for winning a cup (but not
with the Penguins...), but the backbone, no.

Most of the the "bitching & moaning" and "Positive thinking" have equally
precarious foundations in reality.

Ahh...optimism.
Okay, then...optimistic I shall be.
Peter Forsberg will score 400 points this season.
Joe Sakic will score 300.
Both will triple Wayne Gretsky's career point totals in the next two
seasons.
The Colorado Avalanche will win every Stanley Cup until 2082.
The Colorado Avalanche will also go undefeated in a season, posting a
perfect record and sweep the playoffs to the Cup.
Patrick Roy will post a 0.00 GAA and a 1.00 save percentage for the rest
of his career.
I will be the starting centre for the Colorado Avalanche next week and
score a hat trick in every one of my games.
Hey, it's optimistic, right?
Guess what: Optimism does not mean realism.
People who are optimistic don't see the league for what it is and are
viewed as someone whose views are so skewed their opinions are worthless
(like Josh in dealing with the RedWings).
People who are realistic see the league for what it is, not "bitching and
moaning".
So until Colorado does win 84 consecutive titles, I'm going to say that
Jagr has yet to be seen if he can perform without Mario.

I obviously can't say for sure it will happen. But, you must agree
that Jagr is one of the best players in the world, if not the best.
If you were to project his point totals over 10 years I am sure he
will pass Mario.
I don't think you can question the fact that he is more durable than
Mario.
I don't want to agrue this point, I think Jagr is a great player to
watch and that is enough for me to make such a bold statement.

Adam.
