I would be interested in hearing any feedback on the wearing of copper
bracelets.

I seem to have "golfer's elbow" and I've just purchased a copper bracelet to
see if that will help.

I have worn one for almost 6 months now and can say that it does seem to be
working. I got the cheapo "Sabona" and have been pretty happy with the
reducing of the pain in my elbow and fingers.

Be prepared for green wrists though

i was very skeptical with regards to copper bracelets, but in an act of
desparation decided to try one as a last resort for a touch of tendonitis
in my wrist. long story short. wear bracelet pain goes away, don't wear
bracelet pain comes back. so i'm happy to keep wearing it whilever it has
this effect.

I three is a problem with the large one over the head coming loose during
play, how about some of those industrial staples in copper, or would that be
defeating the purpose? :-)

There could be a placebo effect at work with this copper bracelet.

Ya think? :) It sure as hell isn't the copper, magnets, silver, or
whatever else is the rage this month. I mean, haven't we all been carrying
copper around in our pockets for all of our lives?

Australia hasn't had copper coins for several years now. We dropped 1c
and 2c pieces and round up or down to the nearest (nickel) 5c piece.

Now ... I'm waiting for the break-through research that shows arthritic
ailments have increased in the general population since this decision.

Does it really matter if it is placebo effect or not, as long as the pain
goes away the bracelet is doing its job.

For the elbow you'd be better off with one of those magnetic
wraparounds. Should be available at most golf shops or discounters.

How bout a mustard poltice or some of Mother Fletcher's Ointment. It cures
colds, molds, sore assholes, and makes baby birth a pleasure.

Hi Marian

I was having a lot of hip problems and it was interfering with my golf.
So, on the advise of a friend, I bought one. Put it on and haven't had
a problem since. So, try it. What can you lose but a few bucks. Hope
it works for you.

others have suggested this to me but in reality i don't care what the
effect is whether it's placebo or some complex chemical interaction. so
long as when i'm wearing it i don't get pain in my wrist, which at the
moment is the nett result.

In my experience, i would say that a good 20% of serious players wear copper on
either wrist. The silver bracelets you see are often copper on the inside. Top
hand/wrist/forearm problems are frequent with those who hit a lot of balls. If
you're having trouble, give it a try.

I was experiencing pain in my elbow from tendonitis and bought a Sabona copper
bracelet for the hell of it about a year ago. The pain subsided after a few
days and I've been wearing it ever since. As a non-believer in most
homeopathic remedies, I was pleasantly surprised.

After being given a Sabona copper bracelet, I wore it briefly even
though I wasn't suffering any pain. I actually developed a deep ache
in the wrist I was wearing it on, so I threw it away. Coincidence? I
thought so until I was given another copper bracelet at a trade show
about a year later, and the same thing happened again. And no... I
didn't wear them too tight if anyone was planning to suggest that.
I'm skinny in the wrists, and they fit quite loosely.

I always knew I was a bit backwards...

I have broken my right wrist 3 times (football injuries) and now have some real
problems with arthritis. I tried the Sabona copper bracelet, but it hasn't
seemed to make any change although I've been wearing it for a couple of months.
Even though it didn't help me, I'd recommend trying it for yourself since it
appears that it does help some people. Good Luck! Dr. Davis
