That was during Match Play Madness so we had to play from there. I
didn't knock it close (15' or so) but I did drain the putt for par.
You should fear my short game. :-)

I went to Scotland last May and was able to meet up with a couple of
the UKSGer's which was a lot of fun. It's always nice to be able to
put faces with the names.

Hey Thor,
These kinds of exchanges between folks who personally know each other,
AND about "golf," are the reasons I used to enjoy monitoring this
Group. I've never been in a situation where I could join you but, I
actually felt as if I knew some of you. At least I could draw a mental
picture of you and your personalities. Beside my love for "golf"
itself, that kind of fraternization is what I began to enjoy about the
game over 80 years ago, and found here in the past.
Unfortunately, the character of the Group appears to have been
permanently changed... what a loss! Even with the current effort to
take the discussions back to what they used to be, the "political" and
rather mean spirited tenor of the Group still seems to rule. Also,
some of the "golfers," including myself a couple of times, joined in
those discussions,and certainly are not totally blameless.
Your pictures and the resulting comments are reminders of what we used
to have and enjoy, Thank you!

FullACK - alas, it matters if the "meeting" is a supplement or the main
thing.
As for usg, my non-golfing spouse and I are constantly working on an
all-comforting compromise, resulting in various secondary (or primary?)
targets (Cornwall, Wales, Brighton(?) to name some).
Concerning rsg meetings, I foresee more difficulties...
