Hi all-

Was interested in putting together a set of RMC 270 irons and wanted
to initially buy a couple of misc clubs to try out before doing the
whole set. Golfsmith was unwilling to break up sets at this time
because they are in high demand and stock was somewhat
limited.

So, I am looking for any responses, good or bad, concearning
these clubs.

Thanks,

Chris, I think the RMC 270 is a great club. I got them to sell me an 8
iron and I assembled it with a Dynamic Lite stiff shaft. It is a very
solid club. I then ordered a set of them 3-60 degree wedge and assembled
them with the same specs. I have not trimmed them to length and gripped
them yet, as this is a busy time of year for me. I've been pretty happy
with my irons this year also, so this may be part of the reason for
leaving the RMC's on the back burner. Anyway, hope this helps!

last set of King Snakes! They seem to have a bigger sweet spot. I'm able
to get my 2 iron airborne fairly easy even with the high kick point of my
DG S-300s.

Buy them you like them.

What did you not like about the King Snake? What shaft did you use with the King
Snake? Would you say your displeasure is due to being your first set made?

I'm curious because I was thinking about building a set. Are all the King Snake made
by one source?

Al, I don't think all the King Snakes are made in the same place. I have
seen at least 5 different versions this year. Some with chrome finish,
others with satin. Some requiring a ferrule, and some that don't. That's
not to mention the different names they have. I have had good and bad
experiences with them. I think with clones you just have to hope you get
some from a good production run. They can vary alot.

Earlier this spring, Golfsmith sold me a RMC270 5 iron head that I
ordered shortly after announcement. I had to wait about 5 weeks for
delivery. I built up the club with a TT Dynalite shaft.

I had several friends hit the club who really like it. Right now, I
prefer the Pennick Classic head, but the RMC270 is very nice.
