Baker's accusations about me are without merit. Also, more on secondary school track.

They always have been.

I trust that those who are reasonable will not give any credence to this troll and stalker. He should be shunned.

I cited Michael Johnson (black male) who showed his excitement on his world record, gold medal victory in the correct context. After the finish line. Johnson is a very talented and eloquent athlete who has a business here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and seems to be making a name for himself in television commentary. Good for him! I also mentioned that Usain Bolt has learned in some way and no longer pulls these antics while the race is underway. Before the race or after the race is completely different. I don't care what he does. He can make all the lightning bolt gestures he wants. Do I think it is silly? Yes. Does it concern me? No.

Here are some comments I made in Facebook related to the track athlete we have been discussing. Before some of you start attacking me about being fat and there is no way I was a track athlete, I recognize that that I weigh about 100 pounds more than I did when I was fifteen. It is a constant battle. I would appreciate being encouraged about it rather than attacked (such as with that doctored photo which continues to appear). BTW, I got some good news the other day. My cholesterol is only 150. My wife and I are eating in a more healthy manner (have been for some time) and maybe some day, my appearance will be more like what it should be. God willing! But, I would kill for a lumberjack breakfast, right now. My craving never goes away.

Thank you for your consideration. I am headed to play golf.

Ken

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I ran track in jr high and high school. I can tell you that little victories or defeats can draw reactions from you that you would not normally show. I have a couple from more than 40 years ago. They made an impression on me.

BTW, beating everyone out of sight at the district meet (as the boy in question did) is bigger than anything I ever did.

In an inter-school meet between my school (Handley jr high) and another Fort Worth school at their track, I ran a relay leg against the quarterback on their football team. He had a bit of a reputation and was slated to move on to bigger and better things at the next level. I took the baton on the second leg a couple of yards behind him and handed off a couple of yards ahead. For whatever reason I was able to cruise right by him. I was jumping around showing my excitement over this very small victory over a highly regarded athlete. We knew each other from church. Walking off the track, this boy bumped into me and said "Keep it to yourself, Pitts.". I am sure he was not happy about being shown up in front of the other students at his own track. He was right, I should have kept it to myself.

Later in high school, I ran in a meet of some size against one of the Pouncy twins from Dallas Lincoln. They later went on to scholarships at SMU. This was a prelim of the 100 yd dash. He ran 9.4 which was super for those days. I was told I ran 10 flat which was the best I ever did in the event. It looked like he was 50 yds ahead of me. I could not be consoled. I was on my hands and knees in the infield. I knew in that moment I was not competitive at all. I had thought maybe I was to that point. Too much reaction. Not that big of a deal in retrospect. But it was in that moment.

Looking back I should have been on the golf team.

Keep up the good work. I'm rooting for you. Be your best and
encourage others to be their best. That's leadership. The cravings
for a lumberjack breakfast will go away, trust me, I was a New York
fashion model. I still get cravings for potatoe salad but after just
a few spoonfuls I've had enough.

Geez guys. Look at what this is. It's a little cesspool, in fact not
even a pool but a puddle somewhere on the outskirts of the cyberworld
where a bunch of dysfunctional, ranting and raving know it alls get
together to show all they know. I'm part of it but this group could be
eliminated today and it wouldn't let the tiniest, fractional, void
anywhere in my life......or for that matter, the internet. There would
be no nano second small enough to tell you how long it would take to
get over it. It's entertainment....it's not real!!!!!!!!! No one
agrees with anyone and if you find someone that does agree with you,
it won't last for the next 3 posts. A few would love to run the group
and one or two think they do but if you are the boss of nothing, what
has that proven?
Take nothing seriously on this group. Forget what people say about you
and remember what I've said many times, if someone agrees with you on
here, beware! You don't want anybody agreeing or thinking too much of
you out of this bunch of dopes.
Will it get better? A poster or two might disappear but then, what
would those dummies do if they didn't have their favorite participant
they love to hate. And without someone to rant at, THEIR lives would
be less. Sounds very odd but it's the way it is and you know I'm
right. There are a few unfortunate cretins that have made this their
lives and for them, it's just plain embarrassing.
Improvement? If you put a hat on a jackass.........what you have is a
jackass with a hat. Answer it yourself.

Whew! You seem like a normal guy. AB is NOT a normal guy. He is really, really screwed up. This stuff is his LIFE, can you imagine that? Wow.

I ran track in high school too, best time was 10 flat and decent 220. I was outrun badly in the New Mexico State finals by a black kid who ran 9.4 or so. That's ok. I became a nuclear engineer. He became a janitor. I live in Rancho Santa Fe, and he lives somewhere not quite this nice. So everything worked out fine.

I also fought in Golden Gloves in high school. Did fine in my little NM town but got my butt kicked in Albuquerque in the State Championships. Another black kid who had apparently lived in the gym, ha. He knew how to box, I knew how to brawl. It was not much of a contest with the 16 oz. gloves on. I still think I could have kicked his butt on the parking lot, ha. In our little Eastern NM and West Texas area, we bull riders thought we were tough, but we fought fair. If someone said, 'calfrope,' you quit and had a beer together. If someone pulled anything out of his pocket but a fist, his own friends turned on him. Nobody got hurt.

Answer is obvious. You feed him. You react to him. You try to have a
reasonless discussion with him...and then you whine when you fail. A
predictor of future behavior is past behavior, unless there is a
sincere expression of responsibility of kne's past behavior.
So...given this, what has Alwin ever said that gives you any
reasonable indication that he will turn over new leaf. There is
none...and that's a shame. He's not stupid. He could be a valued
contributor here if he chose to be. But he prefers to troll...so
ignore him.

Same reason he stalks me. It is easy for him and there are few possible personal repercussions. He has been banned from a few moderated golf discussion web sites for repeated personal attacks, but he just joins more. He crossed the "harmless" red line when he committed Business Interference against me. He came very close to losing his telephone and Internet access as a result. I could have pushed that further with the Canadian authorities, but he backed way off and there was no real harm done. Golf Labs correctly considered Alan Baker to be a nutcase crackpot.

He probably started stalking you for similar reasons that he started harassing me. Years ago I identified him as a troll, just an unemployed and uneducated bum doing nothing with his life as he nears age 50. I wrote that about him and my post apparently struck home because it drew his special hatred for me. Like I care, ha. As he stalks me from thread to thread and forum to forum, I feel like a guy who has accidently enraged a street wino sitting in a doorway as he walks along a street. The bum asked for money, I said, "get a job!" and he followed me to the restaurant screaming and throwing his own feces!

So the Alan Bakers of the world are just the hazards that successful people encounter. They are the reason country clubs have gates and guards!
