What a strange round and more 3putt problems.

Very strange round today. Greens were lightning fast. I had five 3putts because of it. Also 2 balls OB. They were not really bad though. Draws into the wind that kept going left and out with OB close on the left. Either could have stayed in. But I was hitting the ball really well. And managed an 81. Go figure. Could easily been down near par if the putting was not a mystery.

Also, strangely enough, no birdies in spite of several very real chances. Jumpy about putting with such extreme speed.

I liked the course and really liked the development. Would love to live there if we could afford it.

One strange thing. There was a par4 hole with a live oak about 100 yds in front of the blues where were were playing. It was a mature tree and nearly as wide as the fairway. Right in the middle. I cleared it easily with a hybrid. It just seemed odd to me. I guess they wanted to save the tree and that was the best place for the hole.
