Sorry that I misposed this to "comments on Kemper", but here it is again.

Can anyone comment on some of these groupings. Usually whoever at the USGA
that does these, puts them together for some reason, sometimes humourous,
sometimes sarcastic, or maybe winners or runnerups, etc. For instance, how
about Calcaveccia and Balasteros, two hot heads that have clashed in Ryder
Cup

This has got to be the slowest group possible. I don't know about Sluman
but I saw a recent article where European Tour players were asked to
nominate the slowest players. They came up with 1. Langer 2. Faldo
3. Any Swede. Is it some sort of revenge on Daly for his misbehavio(u)rs
to put him after this group?

: 8:20 am, 12:50 pm - Tom Kite, John Daly, Andy North.

If memory serves me correctly, Scott Verplank beat Sam Randolph in
the final match of the U.S. Amateur several years ago, then Randolph
won the same tournament the following year. I don't know if Mayfair
has any connection with Verplank and Randolph or not. Is he also a
former U.S. Amateur champion?

(Sammy is a hometown boy, the son of a pro at a local country club,
that everyone around here expected great things of. He won one
PGA tournament, I believe it was the Bank of Boston, that had the
last round cancelled due to rain. Since then he has had a lot of
problems with injuries and has been playing the Nike tour.)
