hello

going down to kitty hawk for a week at end of may-early june.

anyone recommend some courses? I will be using a condo on the seascape golf
course, and the sister course is kilmarlic which looks nice. we have those
booked. can anyone recommend any others, like the pointe, or nah head?

this upcoming season will be my 2nd full season, and i finished off last
year averaging about 100. so i have a ways to go. so i would like
recommendations on terms of course quality, not so much difficulty. thanks

In article <W28Cf.146360$XC4....@twister.nyroc.rr.com>, 1...@1.com says...

The best course down there is the Currituck Club. Book early, it fills up fast
in the summer. The Pointe is pleasant enough, but nothing to write home about.
I usually enjoy playing Nag's Head Links. It's short but don't let that fool
you. It can get real windy and when that happens it turns into a ball vaccuum
cleaner with all the water and tall fescue, if you know what I mean. I set my
personal record for lost balls there - 10, count 'em. The next I played it, I
left the driver in the bag and only lost one.

Be sure to check on the condition of the greens at Kilmarlic. A relative told
me that some jokers ran some ATV's over them recently and tore them up. I have
no idea how extensive the damage was, but you would think there's time between
now and then to fix them. Still, you might want to inquire about it.

I played Currituck the year it opened and it was a great course. They
said that they had the entire thing -- even the rough -- sodded to get
it open. The trucked in sod from Alabama, the starter said. That is
some serious cash.
