Just stumbled across this guy's website and see references to the TGM.

He has some clips to download for small charges. I'm interested in the
TGM but don't understand the book.

Is he any good , are his teachings of TGM content ?

Regards
Patty

Peter Croker is an Australian with a silly hat who has tried every
teaching 'method' under the sun. He used to be (many many years ago) a
club pro at the Patterson River Golf and Country Club in the south
eastern bayside suburbs of Melbourne, Oz. After several 'starts' at
establishing a marketable teaching 'method' he came up with a system he
named 'Natural Golf' (not to be confused with the Moe Norman/Jeff
kuykendall (sp?) scheme of the same name). This system was franchised to
quite a few young teaching pros in Australia....but eventually Peter
took his system to the USA. He had to rename the system, obviously. I
believe he did establish a couple of 'schools' there...and in more
recent years he established schools in Germany. He has now returned to
Australia and has established a school at 'The Dunes' Golf Club on the
fabulous Mornington Peninsula region south of Melbourne. I don't know
what system he is currently 'preaching' at that school...but it is quite
possible he may be in a TGM 'phase'. He is a very passionate teacher,
with an unswerving resolve on whatever of his current 'methods' he is
attached to, they being the best and only way to learn how to play
golf...according to Peter Croker!

There are TGM afficionados on this newsgroup who will undoubtedly pop-up
with some help, and 'Lynn Blake Golf' has a great website which you will
find interesting....some good video demo downloads etc. Have a look at

http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/

Lynn Blake tends to talk in TGM references (para numbers etc), and is a
little hard to follow unless you are fully familiar with the Homer Kelly
book........but his website is quite informative!

cheers

Check out MikeHebron.com in addition to LynnBlakeGolf.com. Mike Hebron
gives very digested Golfing Machine ideas which are easy to grasp. His
DVD's are very good. I recomend 'blueprints to building your golf
stroke'. If you practice the things from this DVD you will be doing
The Golfing Machine without even knowing it. His book "See and Feel
the Inside move the Outside" is great. This presents alot of TGM ideas
without ever mentioning anything about the book.

Check out this article:
http://www.iseekgolf.com/golfschool/articles.php?gs_id=3

This is the first in a very good series that really expalins TGM with
good pictures and easy to read articles. Practice this and you will be
doing TGM without even cracking open the book yourself.

I also heard 'Confessions of a former flipper' DVD by Brian Manzella
was good.

There are plenty of ways to get TGM without reading/studying the book
yourself. Although, I highly reccomend the book. But I will be happy
to help you as best I can with any questions you have. I'm still new
to it, but I am beginning to understand some of the major stuff. And
it's great !

I would be glad to help you out with the little yellow book. What are
you stuck on ?

Best advice I can give is to read the preface and follow the STAR
SYSTEM TRIAD. Use Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 from chapter 12 to
train the star system at each stage. Starting with Stage 1.

Basically, learn chipping, then pitching, then full swing. In that
order.

You need to learn to crawl before you walk....right ? Same is true for
the golf swing. Tiger Woods learned to putt first, then he
progressively moved to chipping and longer strokes from there. I think
it is safe to say that worked out for him.

That is the Golfing Machine. Always using the star system. Focus on
that. If you get that then you will get everything else in the book.

become a member. Go to the gallery and first watch all the Tom Tomasello
Lessons. Master what he teaches. Do not listen to anything people post
here. It is not difficult to master the golf swing. The game is hard
because you must learn to master yourself. The mechanics of the swing are
much more simple than most people ever imagine. Good luck.

I was addicted to those Tom Tomasello videos for weeks. Those really
did help me more than just about anything. That is how I started to
understand how the hands and arms work. Very important, and very
simple.

But don't listen to me.
