THE QUEENS RIDDLE

When Barack Obama met with Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen of England ,
he
asked her…

"Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government?

Are there any tips you can give me?"

"Well," said the Queen,

"The most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent
people."

Obama frowned, and then asked,

"But how do I know if the people around me are really intelligent?"

The Queen took a sip of champagne.

"Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle,
watch"

The Queen pushed a button on her intercom.

"Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?"

Tony Blair walked into the room and said,

"Yes, your Majesty?"

The Queen smiled and said,

"Answer me this please Tony.

Your mother and father have a child.

It is not your brother and it is not your sister.

Who is it?"

Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answered…

"That would be me."

"Yes! Very good." said the Queen.

Obama went back home to ask Joe Biden the same question.

"Joe, answer this for me."

"Your mother and your father have a child.

It's not your brother and it's not your sister.

Who is it?"

"I'm not sure," said Biden.

"Let me get back to you on that one."

He went to his advisors and asked everyone, but none could give him an
answer.

Frustrated, Biden went to work in congressional gym and saw Paul Ryan
there.

Biden went up to him and asked, "Hey Paul, see if you can answer this
question."

"Shoot Joe."

“Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your
sister.

Who is it?"

Paul Ryan answered,

"That's easy, it's me!"

Biden smiled, and said, "Good answer Paul!"

Biden then, went back to speak with President Obama.

"Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle."

"It's Paul Ryan!"

Obama got up, stomped over to Biden, and angrily yelled into his face,

"No! You idiot! It's Tony Blair!"

Funny but it's hard to beat the entertainment value of what this
administration actually does. Just pick up your newspaper, you'll swear
you're reading the comics.

This joke has been around for every administration since the Queen
became queen. The only one I can't recall would be the Dark Days of
Dubya when there were so many jokes going around that it probably got
lost in the shuffle. Here's one that's newer...pull my finger.

Whistling through the graveyard again frankie? You're not the least
big amused and in fact, you are bitter every day of your life that
Prez Obama is in office and the economy is improving by leaps and
bounds. How tough is it to admit something like this to the guy in the
mirror? There's a reason why they call that little cylinder of mystery

Yeah, I loathed that dumb mother fucker and those two other scumbags
with him, Rumsfeld and Chaney.

Even though Obama is a horses ass and doesn't know jack shit, and must
pinch himself every day and say "Am really the president!!?" think he
could be fun to hang with a blow a few joints.
I might even consider visiting Michelle's Brillo patch.

One word of advice, don't bring Alwin Baker as your assistant. I'm

Bobby said...? It doesn't matter if Jesus says otherwise, the budget
is controlled by Congress.

"Federal law requires Congress to authorize the government to borrow
any money that is needed to pay for the programs that Congress has
passed.

"The Constitution gives Congress the power to control spending and
borrowing."

On the contrary. In a lot of ways Obama is uncomfortably close to the
previous administration--in economic policy and now in lack of respect for
the privacy of voters. Obviously Romney would have done the same if he had
won last November, but that doesn't excuse Obama.

But back to the DVDs. The story originally came from the Daily Fail or

No. Obama was given a very thoughtful and symbolic gift. Obama may as well
have handed Brown fifty bucks.

Screw you Frank. Read this.

I thought I'd check on some earlier presents given to the British. The
Daily Mail has been snooty before.

"President and Mrs. Bush gave Her Majesty a bronze statuette "High
Desert Princess" with a personal inscription on the bottom of the
base. It is a replica of the original life size statue that is located
in front of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth,
Texas". (2007)

"The Prime Minister has not had the best of luck when receiving gifts
from U.S. presidents.
He was given a fur-trimmed brown leather bomber jacket by George W.
Bush during his first trip to America in the summer of 2007.

Commentators gleefully pointed out that the garment was hardly in
keeping with Mr Brown's usual sober attire of business suit and tie".

Einstein may have been the greatest intellect, but there was also Oppenheimer, Henry Ford, Bardeen and Shockley. Jonas Salk?

How much trouble would Great Britain have been in if they had continued with the panty waist Neville Chamberlain? Churchill single handedly held off the Nazi Wehrmacht until our forces could ride to the rescue.

Most inspiring words I have ever heard given the circumstances. "Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth lasts for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was their finest hour!”".

It was an intentional insult that Hussein sent that bust back. One of the first in a series of never ending outrages.

The only idiot here is you:

"Update:

Since my post on the fact that the bust of Winston Churchill has
remained on display in the White House, despite assertions to the
contrary, I have received a bunch of questions -- so let me provide some
additional info. The White House has had a bust of Winston Churchill
since the 1960零. At the start of the Bush administration Prime Minister
Blair lent President Bush a bust that matched the one in the White
House, which was being worked on at the time and was later returned to
the residence. The version lent by Prime Minister Blair was displayed
by President Bush until the end of his Presidency. On January 20, 2009
-- Inauguration Day -- all of the art lent specifically for President
Bush零 Oval Office was removed by the curator零 office, as is common
practice at the end of every presidency. The original Churchill bust
remained on display in the residence. The idea put forward by Charles
Krauthammer and others that President Obama returned the Churchill bust
or refused to display the bust because of antipathy towards the British
is completely false and an urban legend that continues to circulate to
this day. "

ill>

'Like a plot twist in a sitcom, IT TURNS OUT THERE ARE TWO CHURCHILL
BUSTS!!!!!
The one in the White House residence was a gift to the White House from
the British Embassy during the Johnson administration.
The other one was loaned to President George W. Bush by British Prime
Minister Tony Blair.

Says James Barbour, press secretary and head of communications for the
British Embassy, "The bust of Sir Winston Churchill, by Sir Jacob
Epstein, was lent to the George W. Bush administration from the U.K.'s
government art collection, for the duration of the presidency. When that
administration came to an end so did the loan; the bust now resides in
the British Ambassador's Residence in Washington D.C. The White House
collection has its own Epstein bust of Churchill, which President Obama
showed to Prime Minister Cameron when he visited the White House in
March."'

oversy-a-total-bust/>

Read it again:

'Says James Barbour, press secretary and head of communications for the
British Embassy, 袍he bust of Sir Winston Churchill, by Sir Jacob

government art collection, for the duration of the presidency. When that

Obama continued with the Bush administration's economic and domestic
spying programs. Romney would have continued them as well. He would have
made superficial changes that would have been trumpeted by the far right
media for a while, and that would have been it.

Romney was very proud of Romneycare until that became politically
disadvantageous. In fact, I would bet money he thinks all you zealots on

The Telegraph is not known as the Torygraph in the UK for nothing. It is
the most blatantly right wing major newspaper in the country, so this
line of bombast should come as no surprise to anyone with an IQ. Just
head over there and look up the ultra-wingnut crap that Janet Daley was

Why?
1. McCain-Palin (2008)
2. Romney-Ryan (2012)
I would vote for Huntsman.

Not so much lean left but recoil in disgust from what the right wing has become.

I used to be a Republican, but I no longer recognize the party I supported. The current GOP is paralyzed by the parasitic infestation of fringe right, batshitcrazies, and a bunch of social revisionists.

There are other reasons.

How long have you been living here? You still don't grasp the basic concepts of how the USA
was created and structured to operate. Each state is an labratory unto itself and they are
allowed to implement laws and programs that are unique to them or proven to be effective by
other states. This is why I don't have any issues with Romney Care. I don't live in Mass. and
I doubt I ever will. A co-worker of mine who lives in Mass. left and went to another company.
She had to start working at the new company right away in order to not run afould of the
Romney Care laws. Most of the people I talk to in Mass. don't like Romney Care. There is a
reason that it didn't catch on and be implemented in other states and it is the same reason
that Obamacare should never have been implemented across aall of the states.

Einstein helped us win WW2. Probably more so than Winnie. And never
forget Einstein's contributions in science and math. His theory of
relativity will be with us forever, and so his Nobel Prize in the
photoelectric effect. We have billions of devices that use the
photoelectric effect today. If your computer has an LED screen you
can thank Einstein. Does your computer have a mouse with a laser? Do
you have a DVD/CD on your computer? Thank Einstein. Does your phone
or watch have a LCD screen? Your car dash? Do you have florescent
lights? A golf GPS? These devices all depend of the photoelectric
effect.

Winnie was definitely an inspiration to many people. I've read
several of his books, quite inspirational and informative reading. His
writing style is very pleasant. You might think he would be
longwinded and verbose but he was not. I particularly liked, "The
Boer War." Most historians go into excessive detail about the
political and economic reasons for a war but Winnie does not. His
description of one battle against the Zulus helped make the famous
movie starring Michael Caine.

is another such bust still in the White House.

Bullshit is called. I don't know of anyone who doesn't have great
respect for Churchill. Most people aren't like you and make stupid,

I'm wondering about you. All I asked was if the limeys asked for the
bust back. I wasn't implying that we just keep it. I'm saying that
one of obama's lackeys should have asked if it could be donated to the
George W. Bush Library where it could be displayed in a place of

Technically the photoelectric effect happens when certain materials
absorb light and emit electrons. The reverse also happens. Einstein's
mathematics show how this is possible and with a predictable pattern.

OMG an insightful question from the Bertster. I'll treat it like it wasn't
an accident.

In a lot of ways it doesn't matter. You replace a couple of guys at the
top but the rest of the machinery stays the same. There are the same
pressures, the same corruption, and all the rest of it that makes D.C. the
cesspool that it is. And also there is a lot more raw intel, so things
that your predecessor did that seemed inexplicable suddenly make a lot
more sense.

You guys are also completely wrong about Obama. He is way more pragmatic
and conservative than you think. Romney is also more liberal than most
TPers would like. In practice I really don't think there would be a lot of
difference between them.

Max Weber, from his studies of ancient Chinese bureaucracy, concluded
that bureaucracies and their practices tend to persevere and therefore
were conservative of practices and policies. Weber, however, was
describing "pure" bureaucracy, non-political and based on what passed

him to propose a civil service as a measure to promote a well
regulated society. Economy and Society. 1922
