> Let's talk about keys for a bills win in no particular order:
> 1. Put a spy on Marcus Allen. They have no running game, most likely
> he will be an outlet receiver if Montana's primary receiver is
> cover on short 3 step drop. In previous meeting he killed us
> receiving the ball.
Yes, Marcus is really starting to peak in his game. He is definitely
going to be one of the main go-to players and must be covered and
shut down.
> 2. Commit more than 3 or 4 pass rushers to get more pressure on a
> QB who will not be scrambling, as opposed to Hoss. To do this
> the Bills CB's must play tight on WR's and H. Jones must cover
> the TE the same. The linebackers are better off blitzing, than
> dropping into deep zones which Montana will pick apart.
Yes, the defensive line will have to have a big day, especially from
Cornelius, Wright and Patton. As mentioned earlier, I like the idea
of shifting TERMINATOR BURCE around on the line occasionally.
> 3. Throw to Thurman. Enough said.
Well said. Short outlet passes and screens to Thurman will help
beat the KC blitz.
> 4. Use Carwell as blocking back more often as well as double tight
> ends to control ball and clock.
Yes, I like the idea of the Bills controlling the ball. KC coaching
staff is excellent. They use a lot of feeler plays to see how Buffalo
defenses them and then they make great adjustments later in the game.
I'd rather see the Bills control the game than KC.
The Bills should not wait until half time to make adjustments.
In this game they will have to make constant adjustments from
start the finish.
> 5. Reed should be more open since teams will be more aware of Brooks
> after his last game. He's due. Feature him.
With KC's fast attacking defense, I think that Kelly will have to
make a lot of quick decisive throws. Get the ball off before the
blitz. Andre, Metzelears, and McKeller are great at getting off
the line quickly and finding the open spots. Brooks and BeeBe
will definitely help provide excellent deep threats.
> 6. Obviously, limit turnovers and protect Kelly.
Definitely, the offensive line will face their biggest challenge
this season. KC's defensive is very fast and very powerful but,
not as good as the Bill's defensive line. Good play selection
and Kelly's audibles will help beat this defense and help in
controlling the ball.
Note: I would also have Frank very well prepared to come in and
replace Kelly. If Kelly takes too many hard hits and his judgement
becomes questionable. He can definitely take the hits and play
with well. But, I would rather have Kelly sit out a couple
of plays to regain his composure and go back in with mental
vengeance rather than forcing bad plays. (This is a team game).
> 7. The Fans. Make some noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Levy made a statement that he could actually feel the sound waves
from the Bills fans when they get going. However, the fans were
louder in KC. Well Marv, my throat is a little soar from screaming
at the last game and this weeks cold weather. However, I am going
to make more nose than I have ever made at any game and with the
help of the rest of hard core Bill's fans, we will make so much noise
that it will knock you off your feet and you will know which crowd is
louder.
The 12th Man (Woman) will be heard around the world!
8. KILL MONTANA!!!!!!!!!!!!
I highly admire Montana, he is one of my favorite all time players.
It will be sad to see him end his carrer in Buffalo but,
"Football is a violent game, but a beautiful game."
Lyle Alzado ESPN
"Horse shoes and hand granaides baby" this is the AFC Championship
game and it is an all out game. I would much rather see Joe Blow
on the sidelines than the Bills home watching the Super Bowl on TV.
Think about that one for awhile.
9. If the Bills can beat KC I really like their chances of winning the
Super Bowl. But, winning this game could be harder than even winning
the Super Bowl. KC is a great team and the Bills will have their biggest
challenge so far this week.
Calling all hard core Bills Fans....
Lets make some noise and show people the best 12th Man (Woman) support for
the Bills that there has ever been.
I look forward to rejoicing with the rest of you at the game.

THE BUFFALO BBBBBBIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSS
THE TEAM THAT IS GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL ONE MORE TIME!!!!!
--- ---- ---- -- ----- -- --- ***** **** --- ---- ---------
I agreed 100% until I read this. This is how the Oilers lost,
they were so geared and so focused on Montana that they were not
ready to defense the the rest of a very good KC offense. We don't
need to kill Joe just pressure him a bit. Then we need to cover
the outlet guys and limit them to the 3 and 4 yard gains. The D
line must stop the run TOTAL shut down. We are in for one of Hell
of a game, a Great team is gona win and a Great team is gona loose!

I'm very surprised to see a Bills fan call the AFC Championship harder than
the Super Bowl. Do you know something your team doesn't?
: THE TEAM THAT IS GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL ONE MORE TIME!!!!!
More than that, probably. I predict the next three; nobody else in the AFC
is any better. Unless realignment moves Phoenix out there, of course....

Hard core Bills fan? Any city would rally behind a team who has gone to
three, now four Super Bowls. Not to mention the number of successful seasons
prior to that. ( I don't know their actual playoff history )
Another thing I would like to point out is that I only saw five articles under
alt.sports.football.pro.buffalo-bills, while there are 148 articles in
alt.sports.football.pro.dallas-cowboys. Some support!
Yeah, those Dallas fans sure do talk a lot. Those that can
string four words together, that is.
So, is Aikman out of the hospital yet? If he shows up next Sunday,
maybe they can get him a nice bed next to Joe Montana...

If I remeber correctly LAST YEAR, Miami was talking about as much.
"Oh yes, Buffalo will never win this one...They Stink."

Well, I cannot speak for ALL Cowboys fans, but I can indeed string four
words together.
Washington, New Jersey, Dallas, Dallas.
Next year, I shall add a fifth: DALLAS.
whole lotta NFC East Going around.
HOW ABOUT THOSE COWBOYS???

PS Though even I must admit the Bills are by far the best team over the last

Really, what about San Francisco? I'm not a Niners fan, but they have made
the real Super Bowl (NFC Conference Championship game) 3 of the last 4 years
and the year they didn't were 10-6 and missed the playoffs. (In short, they
were good enough that year to go far in the playoffs)
Can't remember what they did 5 years ago, but I think the point is made.

If I'm not hallucinating, it seems to me they won the SB. Weren't they
defending champions when they lost to the Giants in the NFC Championship
the next year? Looks like the 9ers have a strong case.
Course, I'm only interested in the last two years :-}

Trivia question: How many NFL teams play their games in New York state?
Answer: One. Now see if you can guess which one it is.
-Groos
A real New Yorker wouldn't root for a team that plays in Jersey.
Yeesh.
>The 76ers of basketball
>were going to move to NJ and said for a fact they planned to remain the
>Philadelphia 76ers.
Which would make them just as feeble as the Jets and Giants.
>The Giants were named for NYC and what would you like
>them to be called? The East Rutherford Giants? No, they kept their
>original name.
The Dodgers moved to L.A. Should they still be called Brooklyn?
-Groos
Hi there!
It did not stike me immediately, but now I see it!!
The 49ers are the Buffalo Bills of the NFC!
They lost the championship game three times in the last
four years. That must be the second worst performance of
any pro sports team ever.
But wait, now that you mentioned it....
The NFC title game is the 'real Superbowl' so the Niners
are even worse than the Bills. Can you say doormats?
Reaching the game does not count. Winning it does.
Just applying the net's criteria here...
Cheers,
