Here are short summaries of the games shown on DSF TV (Astra Tr. 21):

Berlin Bears - MUNICH THUNDER

Final score: 25:43 Attendance: 500 (!)

First some news from the THUNDER:
They aquired a new QB: Tony Rice (Notre Dame)!

I.
0: 6 7 yd. TD pass THUNDER from QB Phil Hickey (7, former Munich Cowboys,
German champion 1993) to Victor Ortivero (84, Cuba, former Munich
Cowboys).

PAT failed. [couldn't get the name of the kicker]

0:12 43 yd TD catch THUNDER by Victor Ortivero. Pass by Phil Hickey.

0:13 PAT Volker Schenk (17). [2nd kicker]

II.
0:16 34 yd. FG THUNDER by Volker Schwenk.

6:16 48 yd. TD pass Bears from QB Shannon Salls (Linfield College) to
Nick Schneider (81).

7:16 PAT by B"olitz (7).

III.
7:22 17 yd. TD catch THUNDER by Daniel Kreeb (16).

7:23 PAT by Schenk.

13:23 On the kickoff: 90 yd. KO return TD Bears by Thomas Cobb (22).
2pt. conversion failed.

On the kickoff: 1st appearance of Tony Rice, a 38 yd. KO return.

13:29 THUNDER: 30 yd. TD catch by Ortivero, pass by Hickey.

13:30 PAT by Schenk.

19:30 Bears: 5 yd. TD pass from QB Salls to WR Andreas Strohschein (82).
2pt. conversion failed.

IV.
19:36 TD catch by THUNDER TE J"urgen Harfold (44) on the pass from Hickey.

25:36 Bears: 20 yd. TD pass to TE Florian Gneist (36).

Rice replaces Hickey as QB.

25:42 THUNDER: 5 yd. TD run by QB Rice on '4th and 2'.

25:43 PAT by Schenk.

31:43 37 yd. TD catch Bears: Salls to Strohschein.

The very poor figure of 500 spectators is no warning sign: At the same time,
there was the final game of Bayern M"unchen in the (soccer) Bundesliga, which
was decisive for the championship (won by Bayern). Also the second large soccer
team from Munich (1860) was on a road game important for promotion from 2nd to
1st Bundesliga. I expect them to have more visitors on their next home game.

Helsinki Roosters - AMSTERDAM CRUSADERS

Final score: 7:22 Attendance: (No figure given)

0: 6 Interception of Roosters QB Ron Lopez (14, Utah State) by ROOSTERS #27
Ivan Krajinen for a 63 yd. Int return TD.

2nd Interception this time by #43 (couldn't get the name)

0: 9 32 yd. FG CRU's by kicker Raul Menke (spelling?)

6: 9 32 yd. TD run Roosters by Ronnie Kayhill (20, U Missouri)

7: 9 PAT Roosters

7:15 9 yd. TD pass CRU's to Craig Hemson (former CFL)

7:16 PAT CRU's

7:22 17 yd. TD catch by CRUSADERS #84 Marlon Rosblad (spelling?)

I don't know, they only said that he was playing for Notre Dame in the
eighties. Maybe someone from Munich can clear this point?
