1) Name the cat that Bobby saved in the condemned building when he was all
dressed up in his hall monitor outfit. (Hint: Answer is NOT "Mittens")

2) EXTRA CREDIT.. Name the skanky little 10 year old tease who shook her ass to
get Bobby to go in, get her cat, and get his suit dirty.

As an aside, how come there weren't any blacks on that show? The only ones I
can ever remember were Rosey Grier and Deacon Jones (when they convinced Peter
that he was cool for being in the Glee club), and the token kid who was adopted
- along with the chinese lad - by next door neighbor Ken Berry. Just another
case of Mr. Whitefolks keeping a brother down. :)

The Mr. Whitefolks in this case is Brady Bunch executive producer Sherwood
Shwartz, who not entirely coincidentally also produced Gilligan's Island. How
many blacks on that show, you ask? No main cast members, and the only times
they were portrayed was either by enraged, inhuman, bumbling tribesmen, or the
Harlem Globetrotters. Hmmmmm...

Although there were no blacks that could be considered "regular"
characters, anytime there was a large group of kids ie, Marsha's slumber
party, Greg's sports practices, etc., there was always at least one
black extra in the group. They would occasionally even get a line. Not
much, but pretty much par for the course during that era.

Remember that this show was filmed in the 70's when television by and
large did not cross race lines on shows to any large extent. For
example, how many white characters did you see on "Good Times"? The
first one to cross the line was "The Archie Bunker Show", which
introduced George & Louise Jefferson, leading to the spin-off "The
Jeffersons". "The Jeffersons", although not critically acclaimed, was
the first show to really break the race barrier, introducing an
inter-racial couple (can't remember their names but the female role was
played by Roxie Roker, mother of Lenny Kravitz) There were also other
white characters that played a recurring role, bumbling neighbor Mr.
Bentley and their building's doorman.

Blacks have come a long way in the entertainment business but not nearly
far enough. How many successful black directors & producers are there?
Spike Lee....John Hughes......anyone else? Sure, guys like Samuel
Jackson, Denzel Washington & Morgan Freeman get some nice acting rules
but there are few if any blacks with any real power in the major
studios. The same could be said for most of the recording industry with
the exception of Hip-Hop, which has a nice balance of successful black
owned studios and production companies.

Ok Dave, get back to telling us about that time you were working
security at the Trickster show and almost convinced some fat groupie
that you were in the band.....

Tom and Helen Willis.

Ever see the one with Garrett Morris and the dude from Mission Impossible (I
think.) Classic. When the boys got scammed and then they had to hire
Morris to help get them back. Was on the other morning.

You left out 2

Gloria
and also a spin off from the Jeffersons where Florence was working at a

Most spinoffs? All in the Family had Archie Bunkers Place,Maude,The
Jefferson's And a Meathead/Gloria show?

Think about what the marketing power those old shows would be today.
Brady Bunch goes to a concert-Partridge Family-
On the way home they get into an accident by a drunkin driver chased by
the Adam 12 cops. The injured people get treated by the Squad 51 gang.
Accident gets investigated by Dragnet. oops Greg had pot in the car so
Starsky and Hutch are sent in to squeeze out the name of his dealer. Who
could the drunk driver be?
The drug dealer?

As most guessed, All in the Family had the most spinoffs. But the order of
them is kinda screwy.

All in the Family
Archie Bunker's Place (which I believe jumped networks to ABC from CBS.
First time ever?)
The Jeffersons (Kenneth Maxwell said Florence had a spinoff where she worked
in a hotel... Missed it.)
Gloria (Worked for a veterinarian. Meathead was NOT in this show.)
Maude
Good Times (which was actually a spinoff of Maude not The Jeffersons.
Flroida was Maude's maid... Adrienne Barbeau was so hot.)

Second Place?
Happy Days
Happy Days Again (Does that REALLY count?)
Laverne & Shirley
Mork & Mindy
I think I'm missing one here.

Happy Days Again does not count because it was the syndicated title of the
show while it was still in production (when they used to do stuff like
that).

You forgot Joanie Loves Chachi, in which they moved to Chicago to live with
Al and Chachi's mother. Does anybody remember who played Chachi's mother?

MTM was not a spinoff of DVD Show. Mary Richards (MTM) is not the same
woman as Laura Petry. same actress, different characters.

All in the Family spun off The Jefersons which spun off Checking In (Florence's
show where she was the head of a hotel's maintenance dept.) All in the Family
also spun off Gloria, Archie Bunker's Place and Maude from which Good Times was
spun off. Also Adrienne Barbeu's hooters made my head spin back then. I dont
know if that counts.

1) All in the Family
2) The Jeffersons
3) Checking In
4) Gloria
5) Archie Bunker's Place
6) Maude
7) Good Times

Who would have known then that there would a more famous JJ coming out of Good
Times that Jimmie Walker.
