I think it goes far beyond that. Some of us on the far right would
have said very litttle had the Obie policies led to a GREATER country
vice penalizing success and rewarding failure. A BETTER country should
be left to individuals observing the principles of God - and for
Christians, as explained by Jesus Christ. It doesn't work well when we
have to defend, vice practice, those principles. For me that is an
understatement.
Equality may be a desirable goal but it is unobtainable except for our
souls. All whites will never be equal to some blacks and all blacks
will never be equal to some whites. Whether you like it or not there
will always be differences in ability and status. It is as certain as
life and death. I'm more than satisfied with that.
I find it laughable that the arrogance of Obie gains applause of the
hypocrites while it is detested in his opposition.
When sensible people finally realized that Obie's consensus was "My
way or the highway" they started to revolt as the oppressed always do.
Ultimately stalemate and sequester became the best tools (since We
Shall Overcome) to stop a man who is becoming a disgrace to all
mulattos and an enemy of all things that made us a great country.
