now let the innovation and consumer options flourish....

you know the technology for cell phones was around in the 40s/50s....no reason we had to wait until the 80s for them to be available. Regulation slows down innovation for everything.....

a good decision.

What sort of consumer options would you like?
How about the option to watch videos on both Amazon AND Netflix there's an option you could get.

Wait until he finds out that the only ISP in his neighborhood is run by Christians who oppose gambling and decide to block access to betting websites.

How many 6AU6 and 12SN7 vacuum tubes would it taken to make a circa
1940s cell phone? Just kidding.

One reason the USA was a little late getting into cellular is because
the Bell System backbone that was put in place during regulatory times
was the most advanced reliable peer to peer network ever developed. You
could get a cheap phone line installed here in a few days. When I was in
Israel in 1989 people used to sign up their young children for phone
service because it took years to get it. Same with a lot of other
developed countries. When cellular became really technically feasible
those countries got into it because of their poor telephone networks.

the beauty of the free market will prevent things like this. Christians like to make $$ too.

So if that's what the free-market wants then why repeal?

The same free market that gave us cell phones in the '40's,
of course.

Christians aren't opposed to gambling. We're opposed to others knowing we do it.

The problem liberals try VERY UNSUCCESSFULLY to solve is that people
who refuse to compete (my hope above) get left out.

Liberals need to train them to be more competent, not pay them not to
be through welfare.

There was no free market in telephony then. The free market in this
field did not start until 1984, when the regulated monopoly was broken
up into competitive pieces. That is when innovation greatly
accelerated. Now we just need to break up the cable oligarchy.

By giving them unlimited power to control content,
of course.
