...he should ask his father about the first quarter of the first game
of Cal's 1981 season.

(Long story short: Roger Theder, who may have had his job saved when
he beat an Elway Stanford team at the end of 1980, decided to go for a
run-and-shoot / trickeration offense, complete with bringing in Mouse
Davis, and put all of the team's eggs in the Gale Gilbert basket.
Unfortunately, somebody decided (and why do I have a feeling it was so
they could host the last AIAW field hockey championship, despite the
fact that the NCAA also conducted a field hockey championship that had
the best teams anyway) to replace the grass field with the old-school
style turf that causes injuries when you land on it wrong. First
quarter of the first game, and the Gale Gilbert basket's eggs end up
cracked on the turf; after Jay "what's run-and-shoot?" Torchio QBs the
team to a 2-9 season, Theder and Davis are let go in favor of Joe
Flapp - er, Kapp.)

Wow. You're quite the scumbag, eh?

A jury acquitted him of rape. But, of course, you were there watching
the whole thing.
