It’s a cancer issue. The dude was vaccinated against Covid but was
seriously immunosuppressed by the cancer. If Covid hadn’t got him likely
some other infection would have.

So collecting political donations on a tweet about a recent death is a no?

are you saying insulting someone who just died is merely collecting donations?

Are you saying turning it into "all about me" is merely collection donations?

If Trump had some class he would have been critical without lashing out at his favorite targets to make himself look bigger. I'm curious how you can read it as anything but a classic Trump loudmouth post.

Right. Collecting donations is the least offensive part of that email. I didn't even think of it as a fundraising email, I'm sure that Donate button is just a standard part of the email form he sends out and is always there, just like every in email I get from every candidate, PAC, nonprofit, charity, etc.

jb started this thread by predict-complaining that people would turn into something about Iraq, or about Covid.

Turns out there's something else that it can be made about besides those two: Trump can make it about himself and his whining. Apparently he can do this without offending jb, unlike people potentially making it about things that are actually issues Powell was intimately involved with (I saw very little of that, personally, but I didn't go search out articles or poasts about his death either so I don't doubt it's out there even if I didn't see it).

What in the one sentence you wrote indicates sarcasm that I missed?
Seriously I hate not picking up on that kind of stuff.

I picked what I considered the most crass thing in that tweet or whatever and said "so doing this is a no?"

Seemed obvious to me I guess.

Embrace the limitations of liberalism. Don't shy away. Take credit for
what you've constructed.

While you're bagging on Trump, recall that Colin Powell's intelligence
analysis failures led to 3,000 dead Americans and the destruction of the
World Trade Center Twin Towers on 9/11.
