I did, but the referees in Baltimore had other ideas. The NFL seriously
needs to do something about the nonsense 'blow to the head' call.

Ravens defender swatting at the ball, snuffing out the Titans' last gasp
(on third down), and as his hand came down his pinky finger grazed the
helmet of Kerry Collins.

I know that the rule is there for a reason (to protect the massive
investments teams make in quarterbacks), but damn... the guy is wearing
a helmet! The defender's pinky *grazed* his helmet! I doubt Collins
even felt it, but an overzealous idiot of an official gave the Titans
another chance, and they drove down the field for the "winning" score.

...and ESPN, and CBS, and NBC.

In other words, you're barking up the wrong tree, Cary. That's happens
sometimes when you knee-jerk with a cute little reply just to be an ass.

I hear the Tit's kicker used a lollipop on the extra point, too.

A tad more than his pinky, but it was a questionable call. Oh,
and that was winning score, not "winning" score.

I might be wrong, but the referee is supposed to call blow to the head
whenever anyone makes contact the QB's helmet. He supposedly has no
discretion. Just like when you were arguing that the ref has no
discretion when Jake Locker through the ball up in the air after
scoring against BYU.

Questionable. Maybe the Ravens should've scored a few more
points.....or stopped the Titans from going down the field after the
penalty? (All the best defense in the NFL had to do was keep a
geriatric qb from leading his team to a touchdown.....)

Y'know, I get really tired of the same BS reaction to a game-changing
bad call. 'Yeah well maybe Team X shouldn't have been in that
position.' It's a totally disingenuous argument.

The fact is that the Ravens were the better team and that they'd
successfully stopped the Titans on 3rd and long. An official's mistake
gave the Titans another chance in a very tight game; they capitalized.

Had they stopped them on 4th down? I guess we'll never know.
