How can a person with an I.Q. over 50 really like RAP "music"?

Watched a little of the music awards last night and have a serious
question. How can any person with an I.Q. over 50 really like RAP
"music"? And I use the word "music" only in the generic sense.
Seriously, it is just a bunch of silly, pretentious, frequently vulgar
non-musical crap. And the idea that any intelligent, thinking person
would actually pay hard-earned money to buy it is just stunning.
Although, I guess RAP could be considered a form of musical affirmative
action. It provides people who can't sing or play an instrument a way to
call themselves "musical artists".
And before the left wing loons begin hysterically screaming racist, let me
make it clear that I include white RAP "artists" like emiem (or however he
spells it) Vanilla Ice (who I think is now a carpenter) and others as
being just as talentless. I also happen to like the music of some black
musicians, with the emphasis on actually singing and actually playing
instruments.
On a brighter note (pun intended) it seems these RAP "artists"
periodically shoot each other to death to prove their "street creds".
Mother Nature's natural check and balance.

some. Many of the Beatle's greatest songs were a combination of
writing and production and sound mixing, the instruments and singing
just being two of many tools used to create their music.
I used to like Hip Hop back in the 1980's. I sometimes still play the
politically charged stuff like Public Enemy, Black Sheep, but also
danceable stuff like Digital Underground and other funk inspired Hip Hop
during my hour long commute.
To me enjoyable Rap ended with Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle album. The tone
changed for mainstream rap at that point and it lost me. It became more
about promoting intercity lifestyles than it did about communicating to
the outside world about them
But I'll listen to anything so I'm not endorsing any rap except to my
own enjoyment. This weekend I was listening to Supertramp and Guster
and Peter Murphy/Bauhaus so Rap doesn't occupy any special place in my
playlist.
now excuse me, but I've got 2 hours of Bobby Womack lined up on the
pad... Afterwards, some Hoyt Axton. And after that some Easy-E!

I've never conducted a statistically valid survey on these people but,
based on simple visuals, approximately 99% of them happen to be black.
However, I'm sure this could just be a coincidence.

OTOH, 99% of the assholes in the ginormous pickup trucks blaring god

I don't really like rap personally. Or country. Or punk that isn't

Who sees that many people in this country with IQ's over 50?
