my mom was a single mom and she taught middle school and then high school math, so she was very grounded and practical and money wasn't unlimited for her, me and my sister. She was always very good
with money and it always felt like we had everything we needed/wanted. Which i think is a good way to grow up because you learn things
like mclarens, ferraris, oceanfront properties aren't really needed to feel secure and happy. Whereas several people I know now have these things and they are always complaining about things like that their oceanfront property is on the other side of the road(even if there isn't another property between it and the ocean....I understand the complaint if another house was in the way to somewhat block the view).........and in the end those are not the things that matter.
