Oops, Donald. Of course it's predictable how much outrage we will hear from the right about this:

"Donald Trump’s family’s trips have cost taxpayers nearly as much in a month as Barack Obama’s cost in an entire year.
The US President’s three visits to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida since his presidential inauguration, combined with his sons’ business trips, reportedly cost $11.3m (£9.1m).
Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch estimated Mr Obama’s travel expenses totalled an average $12.1m in each of his eight years in the White House."

But that's not all...

"Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw also says it has cost local taxpayers $360,000 in police overtime for his three weekends in Florida since 20 January.
The Post also revealed it cost $88,320 to put secret service agents up in a hotel while son Eric Trump visited Uruguay to promote a Trump-brand condo tower.
Records show it cost $5,470 to put up secret service officials at the AlSol Del Mar hotel in the Dominican Republic, as they scoped out the area, ahead of a similar visit by Eric Trump.
The same records show more than $16,000 has been spent on secret service hotel bills for his two sons’ visit for a grand opening of a Trump-brand golf resort in Dubai."

So the US taxpayers are supporting Trump's business ventures.

I'll wait for the outrage. And I'm sure Judicial Watch will very shortly have an expose about these costs, right?

We crapped on Obama for 8 years - it's your turn. Impress me.

Taxpayer subsidizing the Trump family business. Like Trump golfing so much, this wouldn't be that big on an issue if it wasn't for morons making such a big deal about the Obama's being mooches and Barack playing a little golf. So far Trump is playing golf at a much higher pace, even in the first month of his presidency. Would be nice if some of those, in this very chat room, acknowledged their absurd hypocracy.

It would be nice if he spent more time on forming a competent executive
branch in stead of campaigning. There are hundreds of positions yet to
be filled and he is out pandering to the deplorables.

DEPLORABLE!

I agree that now is not the time for Trump to be playing golf. The top
priority is extermination of socialists/liberals starting with his
predecessor. Extermination in this instance does not mean darkstarring
them, just spay and neuter them.

The next priority is to CONTROL the Loser Whine Marches by whatever
means necessary, followed by elimination of protestors blocking right
of access. A few extremes would solve the problem quickly I think. The
first extreme would be not to charge anyone with unblocking the
right-of-way. This does not mean eliminating lawful protests. Don't
eliminate the Loser Marches - they create some really funny signs.

This is really a strange country. Business men often have to lie to
customers to make sales; politicians have to lie to everyone to get
elected.

Hugh posts a big list of what Trump should be doing instead of playing golf, and of course ends the list by concluding Obama is terrible.

The comparison is ludicrous. BHO has 2 children that were very young at
the time of his coronation. DJT has adult children that are business
people.

...running his businesses from which he has refused to divest. Meaning that the taxpayers now bear the cost every time Eric or Diaper Don go visit a Trump hotel or golf course.

Besides, you missed the point of the article, which was that in his first month, Trump and Melania by themselves have cost as much as the Obama family in his first full year. The kids are just the icing on the cake.

I'm uncomfortable with someone using the Presidency as a sideline or as a way to increase his business. Apparently others are fine with it.

IMO Obama is a pitiful Muslim traitor to the factors that made this a
great country. That should help to clarify your assessment.

I was forced to evedence some level of respect for Obama when he was
CinC because I am a retired officer - he no longer holds that
position. I showed him far more respect than I thought was his due
solely because of the office.

I applaud Trump's direction but not many of his methods of getting
there. The public does not equate president with owner. Nor do I for
that matter.

I am an equal opportunity abuser. I owe allegiance to the country -
not a straw boss.
