I want to buy a bolt of conductive material, like whats used to make
fencing lames.

Who actually manufactures/supplies the fabric?

I doubt that if you find the original manufacturer of the material that they
will sell it to you. The suppliersof fencing equipment have gon to great
lengths to keep people from being able to make their own equipment from easily
obtainable supplies. I expect their is some agreement where the fabric
manufacturers will not sell it to individuals.

You might try Santelli, as I know people who have bought small pieces
to do lame repairs from them.

Actually, you can get Lame fabric from a fencing source such as Leon Paul.
But you can also get lame material from a variety of other sources. I had
a (admittedly strange) non-fencing friend who hired a seamstress to make
him a tuxedo out of a gold colored lame material for a New Years party.
When I saw it I said "Wow. that's kinda shiny. Bet it's hot as hell". We
hooked the tux jacket up to our scoring equipment the next week and guess
what... it actually worked like a fencing lame. Wierd, but true.
