In the Heidenheimer Epee Pokal tape, the Italian epeeist was wearing
a jacket with bright red and green colors on his pants legs and arm sleeves.
Looked like a clown. If that jacket is any indication, I think you can
put any color you want on the uniform and still have it legal.

On entering a competition within the UK a few weks back, i took a friend who
had never seen competive fencing before. One of the first questions he asked
was "who do you know who is who" and on seeing one of the new Leon Paul FIE
regulated masks in which there is a strip of clear plastic of some sort
where your eyes are possitioned, the questioning started to revolve around
painting motifs or faces on the masks, i actually didn't know if this was
legal or has ever been practiced. Can any one shed some light. . .
