What is the criteria of choosing these teams in this order? Is it how
they did last year or how they did during the fall?

I think that is up to the voting members discretion.

LPC beat UCSB and finished higher than UC Santa Cruz at Sean Ryan,
Also took Stanford to Universal in the finals of that same tournament.
Davis beat UCSC. Granted I understand that it is in the fall so it
doesn't mean as much.

---not every NUMPMember chose the teams in this order......this is how
the votes added up.

the criteria is....cast your ballot for the Top 20 and i'll add them
up and publish the results.

i trust that everyone on the Panel is doing their homework and
combining that with good judgement or even good guesses this early in
the season.

i'm sure that the PreSeason vote is ....part prediction....part fall
results...part last year...part investigation...part heart....part
hope.

Pittsburgh and Michigan both earned 253 points. Is there a tiebreaker
that puts Pitt ahead?

You could go by football teams and basketball teams. Pitt wins.

It's okay. P looks like it should come before M in the alphabet,
cause it takes less ink to write a P than an M, you know.

Is anyone else playing in Warm-Up tomorrow...er, today?

I know its late and I have to get up mad soon to play at in this
tournament but I had to stay up and watch the Magic beat the Lakers.
GO MAGIC!

p.s. Mike Gerics - you're still so so so much smarter than
joad...@mailmail.com even if you have unpopular opinions about what
the ordering of the alphabet should be. By the way can you tell that
guy to stop being dumb? I think you two are from the same area so I
figured you might see him around.
