2 things...
1. As a bonafide old guy, If you use the word "awesome" too
often....or willy nilly... kids today will eventually realize you
aren't actually that "cool." ....but instead just a old guytrying to
"be cool."
2. Here is an example of a true cool quote:
Jaoquin Phoenix
cnn.com 11-17-2005 (excerpt)
"If you've never thrown a Frisbee before and you suddenly throw one,
everything about the entire movement doesn't make sense. It just feels
incredibly awkward and it's very humbling."
OK, Joaquin Phoenix admits the analogy isn't perfect.
But then, for the actor, learning to sing like Johnny Cash was
anything but a perfect experience.
"It was completely foreign to me," he says. "My voice would simply
give out."

On that topic, words like "awesome" are often best reserved for things
that truly are.
For example, suppose that Halle Berry showed up at my door with a sign
around her neck that read, "I'm yours for the evening to do whatever
you would like as a present from your wife." Now THAT would be TRULY
AWESOME! Most other stuff, while some of it may be great to the
extreme, simply do not compare.
M
Mortakai,
You are either not married or completely delusional, because
this scenario is clearly the antithesis to awesomeness. I
can think of few more things more agonizing than being
presented with such a tempting scenario, knowing that it was
merely a test of my character, thus having to choose to deny
myself of the obvious pleasure.
Clearly this is not awesome.
---...........it wasn't all that awesome.
