We've started planning for the spring and subsequent 2009 season.
Anyone living in - or moving to - the Chicagoland area for the club
season who is interested in playing open should get in touch with us
to stay abreast of any spring practice sessions, tournaments, and
tryouts. (contact info below)

The spring sessions and activities are open to anyone who wants to
play open ultimate competitively. It is a great opportunity for
current and graduating college players, new players to Chicago, and
younger players to meet members of the team and to get a chance to see
what playing club is all about.

If you know you are interested in trying out this year, please let us
know in your email so we can make sure we keep track of all interested
players.

Hi all,

Despite today's falling snow, planning for 2009 is well underway among
Chicago's Open club teams. Even if you're not sure about Machine,
please let us know if you might be in Chicagoland and are interested
in Open. The appropriate contacts will be facilitated.

College kids- feel free to reach out even if your summer/fall plans
are uncertain. We can sort it out as your situation develops.

Just to follow up what WUFF Camp graduate and all around good guy

Yes, it is still 40 degrees and raining today in Chicago, but we are
playing - hosting spring sessions every Sunday for anyone interested
in coming out and drilling and scrimmaging.

Also, our tryout dates are finalized:
May 17 - Open tryouts in Washington Park. The three Chicago open
teams (Machine, Haymaker, and the new team Beachfront Property) will
all be in attendance.

May 30/31 - Invitation tryouts (or arranged if you absolutely can't
make May 17) for Chicago Machine in Washington Park.

We invite anyone interested in playing Open in Chicago to get in touch
with us and you can join the email list for further information and
announcements.

To be clear, anyone interested in playing Open in Chicago this year
should sign-up through Machine for the May 17th try-out date, even if
you don't intend to play Machine. Haymaker and Beachfront will be
using these try-outs as our initial open try-outs as well.
