SportsCenter doesn't know shit about ultimate. Possibly
unnecessary but a pretty sweet overhand catch.

wouldnt that be ultimates' loss? i mean, whats to know about it
anyway? that its a sport played with a plastic toy? that it was
invented by hippies and played by stoners that sleep in til noon? or
that is players, untill just recently refuse to use referees to manage
their competition? throw, run catch, right? long hucks and diving
bids is all the sports got going for it.......which is enough imo.
and now that theres a league with refs it can be welcomed into the
fraternaty of real sports.......which sportscenter are experts of.
point is, why you dissin sc j mac? sc is the shit!

The disc didn't look like it was slowing down much, and I
mostly just wanted to catch it as soon as I could before
hitting the back of the end zone. I might have been able to
run it down, though.

I was really hoping your explanation was going to be, "Screw you guys. I was trying to get on SportsCenter."

Bayre guy:

Stop responding to an RSD post that Brodie made showing a
link of you laying out for a frisbee you could have just run
down and caught. Nobody knows who you are and nobody cares
about you or your crappy AUDL team.

I agree, would have been VERY difficult to control the feet
to keep them in bounds while running it down. Great job
making sure on the catch.

He's fully extended to make that grab. No way he gets it without a bid.

Way to rip this dude for explaining a play people obviously
have different opinions about. You've done this forum a
great service.

I'm in the Not Gratuitous camp. If he'd run it out and
botched the toe drag, the conversation becomes "Oh, why
didn't he lay out?" Catch it when you know you can catch it.
Nice play.

I was really hoping your explanation was going to be "the
owner asked us to entertain the crowd with unnecessariy
complicated plays"
