could not find the tournament anywhere on the "events
calendar" of the heralded new USAU website...??
Anyway, I just got back from Boulder and felt like
procrastinating a bit. Like last year, the fields were
immaculate, the heat was sweltering and the free Recharge
was plentiful. Among the Elite division teams were Barrio,
LA Metro, Goldenspike, and Operation Kapow, plus a
mostly-BCBC team (with some quality female pickups) called
the Trollhaveners and a couple of Bravo-ish home teams,
Liver Punch and Pimpin Ain't Easy.
We (Barrio) went 3-1 on Saturday, losing a hard-fought 14-12
contest to Trollhaveners in pool play and immediately
dropping into a prequarters game, in which we beat
Albuquerque's Red or Green by a few. I believe the other
pools went mostly to seed, with Metro topping Kapow and
P.A.E. squeaking by Goldenspike on universe point. I also
heard that Swingline, the C-Springs team, took Liver Punch
to universe.
Sunday morning we had a good battle against Metro, coming
out on top 12-10. We then lost to P.A.E. on universe in a
back-and-forth, huck-filled (especially by our opponents),
very fun game. When I left, a heavy but brief downpour had
concluded and P.A.E. and Liver Punch had started the finals.
Goldenspike beat Kapow in the 5-8 bracket, or so I was
told.
Props to GRU for putting on a great tournament (the
aforementioned fields, plenty of food and water, plus a
pretty sweet party Saturday night) and to The Business, Love
Tractor, Trollhaveners, Red or Green, Metro and P.A.E. for
giving us two days of tough, spirited competition.

catch blocks in one point notwithstanding.

Dude, don't belittle the magnitude by droppin' a score. Yes there was
a victory by PAE, but the dramatic style, and I say "STYLE" in which
they pulled it out was on the fresh side. Let the reverend clarify.
Def Rouisse controlled while sweet Melicious D rolled. All the while
Tina M...aliciously controlled. The young pimps ABSOLUTELY rolled.
Jack, Matty, & National champion Alex trolled for all manner of D's
O's & Ho's. So much quality to talk about, shit I can' t say out loud,
but TinaBell droppin D's like hell, all the while makin throws that
swell....the heart cuz it was flowin, Enessa catchin shit that people
wuz throwin. Won't cha catch that overhead hamma because that makes
the game go on a bit furtha. Why not have some Stoney D, and the toss
the game winna up to her for free. I tell you I've played this game a
long long while, the shit we had going on this weekend was the
definition of style.
PAE would also like to recognize how cool the crowd was. Y'all put up
with some rain and we appreciated the coolness. STAY LIVE PEOPLE!

Since score reporter is a big time sink hole, I did have the patients
to post the results of the B-div. The reason you see 18 teams in A-
div, is because two teams from the B-div won the pre-qtr cross over
games that knocked two A-div teams into the top of B-div. Pimp Aint
Easy (coguars) beat Liver Punch 15 to 14 in the finals. The Business
(crossing down from A-div) won the B-div beating The Lawn Gnomes from
Crested Butte.

The ones I know about are Barrio over Red or Green ~15-10
and Love Tractor over Swingline on universe. I assume the
others were Goldenspike vs Mesteno and Kapow vs Killjoy.
