AUDL....nice work again! When are y'all bringing a team
south? I'd pay to come watch a few games.

Jacksonville has a franchise now. Think they start competing
in 2013.

They are showing several full games for free:

I watched all the way through the Alleycats vs. Revolution
game yesterday. The things that stood out to me were:
1. Great job by the announcers. At least one of them plays
in the Indy area, and they seemed to know a lot about the
Alleycats' players and provided a nice stream of
commentary.
2. The athleticism and skill of the Revolution was
impressive (especially Ben Parris and Evan Boucher, but
their true no-name guys as well). I was amazed at how many
times they not only went right at Brodie with deep throws
but did so successfully, though Brodie's apparent injury may
have played a big part in that.
3. The inability of Indy's D-line to punch in a goal was
painful to watch. They got the disc with a chance to take
the lead many times, but almost invariably ended up throwing
a swilly huck or questionable under that got D'ed.

You happen to know the name of the Jacksonville team?

this is where they expect the league to expand to.

48 teams over the next two years is very ambitious expansion
plan! It would be great to have Vancouver, Seattle and
Portland with teams as the rivalry is already built in from
club ulti. Would a team in the Tricities work? Spokane?

I made the same observation and on facebook, the AUDL
replied with: "There will not be 48 teams, those are areas
we are exploring for future teams. "

That looks more like a franchise marketing plan than a
professional league expansion plan. Take a look at Major
League soccer. They are in existence 17 years and only up to
19 teams, with two teams lost over that period of time.
Since all eight teams in existence are operating on limited
budgets, I want to see the scheduling plan laid out. Right
now these teams are using vans and buses to get to games and
doubling up on weekend games for the trips to the farther
end of the league. That might work right now for east coast
teams going to Kentucky and Indianapolis, but what do you do
next year for Madison and Chicago, and the year after that
for the two Florida teams (although I'd love to see Orlando
play in the Sports Complex at Disney.)
