I've had the pleasure of playing with this guy for quite a while.
He's worked on every facet of his game and has greatly improved every
year. On the defensive side, Luscious uses his excellent instincts,
hops and speed to create turnovers. On offense he can get open
against anyone and has a penchant for demonstrating the teabag.
After a stint on the DL for most of the year, Luscious is back and
ready for the "real season".
Accomplishments:
- While in France this summer Luscious played in a competitive
tournament while running a clinic for the Europeans on layout Ds. He
won the Tournament MVP and was rewarded with a weird ass 101
Dalmatians fur cover sewn around a disc. Any of the other candidates
have this? I think not.
- His name is Luscious N. Delicious.
- Had about 7 D's with his mark alone in victories against NC State
and Colorado at Collegiates this year.
- He has perfected the correct proportions of Kool-Aid, Sugar,
Tequila, Triple Sec, Vodka, Rum, and love for the finest Jungle Juice
in all the land.
- In 1999 he took over a co-ed team that didn't consider ultimate a
priority and molded them into a team with a commitment to winning.
Luscious has organized, recruited and willed Michigan State to where
they currently are.
Ranking in 1999: unranked
Ranking in 2000: 135
Ranking in 2003: 15

second of all, after watching those clips, I now think letting players make
their own calls isn't such an impediment to the growth of the sport at all
(in terms national acceptance). It's just another facet, a unique one. If
you watch the other clip there, the one that advertises itself as the
"example of the rules in action", there's a foul called, and, just like in
other sports, a little yellow foul thing goes up on the upper left corner,
then the guys hash it out. It could give the broadcaster a chance to replay
the play, if it's a long 'conversation', and the game moves on. The cameras
would almost be a presence of accountability. It's really not that
different than if a ref calls something, like in football....except it's the
players..
just a thought.
and it was slightly disappointing to hear he changed his own name. those
would've been some fuckin cool parents.

Juding by the website, they hired the people at Rogers Television. I
think they're a Canadian broadcasting company that rents out television
equipment. I'm not really sure about the announcers, but they must be
Ultimate players.
And I agree, judging by the couple of minutes of footage that is on the
site, they did a helluva job. I'd pay to see coverage like that for
top-level tournaments.
What site???
..maybe fund the pro league while he's at it?
or someone like Jack Black. Surely they could swing a few bucks our way.
silver's pockets are like black holes compared to j. black's
I think he's still a potential investor in the sport at some level, as
long as you appeal to his ego and inflated sense of self-importance
;-)
I've heard different, though its all rumors. I've heard that Silver
was proud that ultimate has grown.
