I've posted new COTDs from both the Open and Women's finals from
Centex. The Disc 2 Trailer is also in the COTD page if you haven't seen
that yet.

Check them out at: www.ultivillage.com

In the women's finals clip, it looks like the receiving team basically
received the pull and then just hucked the disc without even trying to
do anything to advance the disc up field. Was the wind so bad you
dared not even attempt a 10 yard pass. It was like they were
intentionally giving the disc back to the pulling team which I call
uglimate.

Work the disc and send someone deep to give yourself a chance at least.

The women's clip is not the most exciting play of the game, for sure.
What about showing one of the lay-out Ds or sweet skies in traffic,
Rob? For instance, I would love to see that horizontal block by Alicia
in Stanford's zone up as a COTD.

As far as Stanford's offense goes, this clip was also not the highlight
of the game (not the lowlight either, though). Stanford was missing
some key people, hurting its offense, and had been burned by turning
the disc over too close to the upwind endzone earlier in the day.
Turns out, Stanford's defensive pressure that game wasn't enough to
stop Kali from scoring upwind multiple times in the second half, so
maybe the team should have tried to play more of a possession game.

Stanford and Colorado still have yet to play each other in non-windy
conditions and have split their two games so far. Anyone know what the
weather is supposed to be like in Columbus over Memorial Day weekend?

I'd love to see that callahan goal Jen Masumitsu had against Stanford
in the finals rather than puntimate on clips of the day, but I'll take
a clip of Alex Snyder getting d's just the same.
