the UOA is hosting, what we think is, the first ever fully observed
local league....our Wilmington Frisbee League, which started up a few
weeks ago.

The question is....can an observed local league increase the observer
pool in that area?
the answer, obviously, is yes.

The UOA is hosting 3 mabe 4 tournaments here in Wilm and we have
already secured 2 observers from our first few games who have
committed to work "any and all" tournaments here in town. A 3rd has
committed to 3 of our tournaments. These are 3 guys who had never
observed until our first weekend of Winter League....and now they are
ready to observe college ultimate and be trained properly in the
philosophies and methods of the UOA!!!

More locals will certainly join up.....
AND...we're always happy to have travellers come to Wilmington, learn
our style, and get paid for working games at our tournaments!

So...if you're interested in observing at the UOA 8s Tournaments and
Observer Training Camps...contact me directly!

anything that sticks around for a while, including observed ultimate,
will grow..with the right dedication.

the question is, will the people who are trying to grow it...stay
involved?????
or will it show up and disappear, like uncw's ultimate team???? cause
uncw ultimate was big for a couple years, and then it died...like
toads tie dye......hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

i think they arte using a good stategy that will encourage growth
(bottom up) and i think they are getting enough positive feedback such
that they will stay motivated.

eh, like fashion ultimate domination is cyclical. a guy that i
mentored as a tie dyer now has the NO 1 tiedye company in the
world.......so i dont see why it shouldnt be any different with any
mentoring that i may have provided mike g along the way. Point is the
spirit of my tiedying "lives on" even though i aint in the biz anymore
