Anybody used Under Armour cleats?

Many people (myself included) have not really trusted them
in the past. After all, Under Armour makes shirts, shorts,
underwear and socks, and their cleats have always seemed
like they were more interested in looking cool than being
good boots.

But, alas, Nike has let me down (NONE of the new Speed line
of cleats fit my feet at all) and I'm not sold on the Adidas
Scorch for my style. I found a pair of UA cleats that seem
to fit, so I am tempted by them.

Anyone worn them?
Do they last?
Are they stable or do they loosen up and get
squishy/unresponsive on your feet?

Thanks for any feedback.

I had a pair of mid height Under Armors with screw in
cleats. Wore them 3 times and developed tendinitis in my
achilles. The physical therapist said the heels were narrow
and putting pressure on the achilles while I ran. Never
experienced anything like that in 30 years of wearing
addidas and nikes.

a buddy of mine had a pair. looked real nice. the sole
started separating from the rest of the shoe after one game.
granted he is a crazy cutter, but good cleats should last
longer than that. so should bad ones.

AND...it seems there was good reason for not trusting UA
cleats.

Hmmmm....now what am I supposed to do. Oh well.

Thanks for the feedback.

The Adidas Scorch mid cleats are sick, even if they don't
have the most attractive physical looks. I own a pair from
last june that have lasted almost one and a fifth club
seasons. Granted I am getting new cleats, but they are
still held together on the outside, with minimal tearing
from the sole.

UA's are mostly cheap nike ripoffs.

Go on ebay and look for a deal on an old pair of Nikes like
the old vapors or speed td's. Just be patient and wait for
what you want to be posted.

Yeah, for me the Nike's are too narrow in the middle, and I
don't like the way the Adidas newer cleats have felt on my
feet.

I know I have heard good things about some of New Balance's
lighter cleats though. They also make Warrior for Lacrosse.
Both have the toe cleat.

If soccer is your thing, the higher end diadoras have worked
well for me in the past. Does anyone have any experience
using Adidas Copas?

Yup...working on the Scorch cleats now.

I actually tried some on and liked them, but hadn't seen
them in detachables (which I very much prefer), so sort of
had not considered them further. I guess I'll need to
revisit them and find some with detachables.

I've tried UA cleats over the past 3 or 4 years, one screw
in type, one of the molded, and settled on Nike for my last
4 or 5 pair (the usual suspects, speed td's, vapors, etc.).
I tried the new UA burn low mc and I love them. They feel
better than any Nike cleats I've worn so far. They're still
new, so no telling how they'll hold up, but they've made it
a month so far. Got them on Eastbay.

Short and sweet.
I'm a lacrosse player at the university of colorado and
received a pair of under armor cleats for christmas.
Instantly developed tendonitis in my left foot and ruptured
my achilles tendon endingmy lacrosse career as a starting
senior captain. DO NOT USE THEM.
I send this out . In hope that it prevents this from ever
happening to anyone again.

Have you tried Nike's total90 series? I have wide feet and
those fit me perfectly.

Those are one of Nike's cheaper lines, correct? I had a few
pairs of those about 3-5 years ago, when I was more strapped
for cash. They wore out pretty quickly (lasting 2-3 months
of intense play; my Speed TDs tend to last me 6+) and only
provided about 50% of the grip of Speed TDs. But I'll agree
that they fit well, did not give me any tendonitis, etc.

RIP Speed TDs. (But yeah, you can still find them on eBay,
etc.)

I got the Wounded Warrior UA Nitro III Low cleats a little
over a year ago and I love them to death. They are the best
pair of cleats I have owned hands down. I put about 6-10
hours a week on them and am surprised they are still havent
broken at all.

That being said. I also bought a pair of UA Blurs as a
backup cleat and couldnt care less about them
