...before today's game.
Now, it would be nice if that started translating into more
wins. They stand at 13-9. Curiously, with over 120 innings
played, they have only 1 century to show....but you must
blame Sachin for that particular statistic.

Not sure if the omission was intentional..

oh well Tendulkar gets blamed even when India is winning due to his
contributions..
I'd rather see Sehwag rotating with Ganguly at the opening slot.

Did I miss something? I thought Sehwag has played only
two games since the World Cup. He scored 25 & 43 today.
(Actually, I am counting games since June 1st, the start of
the "next" season with the games in Eire)
I wouldn't mind seeing Sehwag a few more times in the side.
I am all for rotation. Add Dravid, Raina, Gambhir, Sehwag,
Sreesanth, Munaf, Agarkar, Powar to the mix. Maybe a core
of 4-5 players plays most (but not all) games and the rest
of the team revolves around them. There is some good
about ODIs and the urgency and innovation it has lent to
Tests, but fatigue must surely be a factor and the players
ought to be given frequent breaks.
Say Yuvraj, Dhoni, Pathan, Bhajji, Sachin are the core of
the team. Pick four other batsmen from Dravid, Sehwag,
Ganguly, Tiwary, Rohit Sharma, Gambhir. Pick two other
bowlers from Zaheer, RP Singh, Munaf, Sreesanth, Kartik,
Powar. Every 4 or 5 games, rest one of the core. Let Yuvraj
captain a few games when Dhoni is rested. Let KKD Karthik
keep in those games. That way we have players fresh and
rested for most games, and all of them will have had fairly
good match practice, and we will even have backups for
key positions (captain, keeper).
