Hi All

I am entering a newspaper "fantasy cricket" competition, and need to
come up with a name for my team. I seem to be having a mental block at the
moment and would appreciate some help to find a witty team name (which must be
no longer than 16 characters).

My team comprises players from the Lancashire, Yorkshire and Durham teams and
I thought it would be good if my team name could reflect this. (One suggestion
I have been given was an "EE BYE GUM XI" but I don't think they say this in
Durham!!).

Any ideas gratefully received!!

Please e-mail or post a.s.a.p. (I have to send my entry in today!).

Thanks,

Cathy.

Wow! I guess you must have had problems coming up with a name too. I got TWO
replies!

Thanks to the two people who bothered to reply, especially Balbir Singh
Purewal - I decided to take your suggestion and I plumped for "FLAT CAPS XI".

If anyone else is doing the Times First Class XI fantasy cricket competition,
good luck but Flat Caps XI will beat you all! :-)

This is just a useless post from me, but I just wanted to say that I
dont care if they dont say this in Durham - I think its one of the best names
Ive heard for a cricket team, ever :-) I only wish I'd thought of it when I
was naming my team for Ultra Cricket.

Bad taste suggestion for the week is:

"Yorkshire Rippers"...

Take it or leave it...

For what it's worth, the name I chose is :-

"Hell's Leg-Spinners"
