In a tragic event on Sat Apr 19, Faqeer Ali (son of Abid Ali and son-
in-law of Syed Kirmani) suffered a heart attack and died on the field
in Fremont, CA. He was batting fluently at the time for Tracy United
Cricket Club (part of the North California Crikcet League). Paramedics
attempted to revive him, but declared him dead after 15 minutes of the
attack.

Faqeer was regarded with great respect in the league, with a
reputation of being friendly and sporting in any situation. Faqeer was
in his 30s and is survived by wife and 6 year old son. A funeral will
be held Tuesday 130pm at Oak Hill Park in San Jose, CA.
