Some sheen has been taken off the spectacular Indian victory because
of the stupid behavior of the umpire. It's disappointing.

It all seems if bit iffy to me. Staggering back to one's hotel room
one night after one too many doesn't necessarily lead to being
incapacitated the next day because of a snootful too much, and a
subsequent hangover from hell that won't go away. Spending time each
evening in bars of itself doesn't mean he was systematically getting
hammered. Umpire Davis might well have switched to soda water at a
reasonable hour to flush his system. Which is my preferred beverage
when I know I need to shape up and be able to function properly the
next day.
If the saffers do think it's that big a deal and they might have got
the sharp-end of the stick for reasons beyond it-was-a-bad-call
(regardless of why they think it) then they should formally ask the
ICC to provide another umpire. After all, it's been done before. Then
let the ICC do their own investigation into whether or not umpire
Davis really did engage in the kind of boozing antics that could
adversely effect his decision-making ability. If they don't really
think it then this could be just a bunch of anger leaking out around
the edges over what were undeniably poor (UDRS-reversable elsewhere)
calls.

Lessen you get the dose of da scour. Though any chance of that you
consult prematch and organise an extra drinks break for the kwik krap.
I'm a heavy drinker (Arthur lots of) and I haven't had a hangover for
30 years. Bloody bull teriers get me up too early for a hangover to be
in with any chance (still drunk usually)........perpetual lifestyle.
I kept the two demons (devil dogs?)on the leash this evening. Came
hone via a small estate near us. Cats every where. My oldest woofer
was happy to ignore after 'leave it' command. His Sister wanted to rip
the cats apart, and their owners and relatives and anyone who dared
stand in her way. A nice wee bull terrier nonetheless - red white
socks.
Just like married life really.
Has the Deli rat catching people ever heard of buthe rats. My big
woofer can kill 20 odds rats in about 4 minutes in a pit.Of course you
have to get al the rats in the one place to begin with. I have a KFC
nearby. Rabbit gun, bull terriers late at night. It's the KFC safari.
lol! That one's a given, based on what I've heard about his book.
The Keith Richards autobiography which I got for my birthday this year
is another one of those "Herschelle-friendly" reads, BTW.
ey ey ey ey ey...I love cats...keep that sister dog away ggggrrrrrrrrrrr
For a change, it's the umpire who's been bending his elbow. Can he
come up with a variant of the less-than-15-degrees defense?

Ummmm shows the Saffers to again be poor losers. Finding ways to blame
the umpire.
Do you think Smith would say anything if they won?
Obviously not. This happened in the first test as well which SA won.
Came to notice after the 2nd test which SA lost.
"Anonymous sources in the Proteas camp told Beeld that Davis was often
seen in a particular pub last week and would allegedly stagger in to a
Sandton hotel in the early hours of the morning during the first Test
in Centurion."
How do you figure out this?
Question => Has Smith said something? What did Smith say?
Who has said anything?
You mentioned Smith
"According to Eduan Rose writing for Beeld Davis was observed by team
members on Monday night in an intoxicated state at the Umhlanga hotel
where both teams and match officials were staying."
So they observed him. So what?

Ummm its one journalist saying something. You could find a bunch of
frothing Aussie scribes whose views would embarrass most Australians,
if those views were automatically attributed to them.
> Do you think Smith would say anything if they won?
I didn't see Smith referred in the article at all -- this is an issue
I would expect even an immature hothead like Sreesanth or Harbhajan to
stay a mile away from -- if Smith actually said anything more
substantive than "no comment", I would be shocked.

He's a big lad, he could easily be diabetic.
My mate is diabetic staggers around after a couple of pints. He isn't
drunk, the drink messes his blood sugars or something. He is supposed
to drink that satzenbrau pils stuff but he doesn't like it.
Seeing as there's zero chance of you doing it, here's the follow-up.
