What is this BS I am reading about Hindi hegemony and central govt's
preferential treatment for hindi. Language fanatics shout about hindi
imposition by Delhi. Oh really.
Can anyone give me a rational explanation why Hindi films have a national
appeal. Besides the hindi belt , hindi films do well in other parts also
which according to anti hindi zealots can be classified as non hindi
states. How come in a city like Madras (the leader in anti hindi protest
when it comes to TV programs) Hindi films run well. Do you know a film
like "hero" (Jackie Shroff) ran for a year in Madras. "Hum apke hain
kaun" also ran for a long long time. Don't tell me that the non hindi
speaking people of madras make such movies a big hit in madras. And why
madras , hindi films also run in interior tamilnadu like Madurai etc.
Coming to WB , hindi films do very very well in Calcutta and other
parts of WB. Same is true about hindi films in AP.
Old hindi film songs are still very popular all over India.
Did I hear that nasty central govt is forcing people to watch hindi films
so as to prove the popularity of hindi language. ( he he he )
Face the reality , Hindi is the most popular language and also the most
useful language in India ( I am not taking into account english). Too
bad if your regional language chauvinistic feelings can't accept it.

No one understands that after all hindi is a language. Why show hatred
towards a language.

Are you new to his newsgroup? Ravi Krishna is a legendary
moron in the newsgroups, and his "manipulations" have
been known for some time now. His true feelings are this:
He is a Brahmin from TN who after reading the Newsgroups got
pissed off at the anti-Brahmin sentiments and so started
his anti-Tamil, anti-Dravidian postings using various
pseudonames. Not being a very smart person, he was always
caught and identified. It used to be my hobby of catching
him red-handed. Not very challenging though, like trying
to find an elephant hiding in a backyard. The mention of
Madurai in one of the pro-Hindi film postings you gave
above was a jab at me.
Anyways, his strong pro-Indian feelings also gave way
to hatred for the Kalistanis and the LTTE, and so he started
anti-Khalistani, anti-LTTE, anti-SL tamil postings, some in
various pseudo names.
Finally, frustrated at anti-tamil postings from Hindi posters,
he started anti-Hindi postings using pseudonames.
Here are alist of pseudonames he uses to achieve his
various purposes:
proudIyer : For Anti-Tamil postings.
proudIndian : Changed it from proudIyer when caught.
cyberbrahmin : Anti-Tamil postings. New and improved
foolproof(or so he thought) pseudoname.
cybermadrasi : Anti-Khalistani, Anti-Hindi postings, to
stir up feelings against the TN tamils.
Manjit Singh Nijjer: Pro-Khalistani, Anti-Indian postings
to stir up feelings against the Khalistanis.
He is currently working on some new pseudo names.
I do feel sorry for him though. He seems
to be a person who could not handle certain
postings on the newsgroups and just got pissed off at
everyone.
