The first three scores were against Bungledesh by the way. He averages 8
in the test series thus far against the poms. He has a career average of
22.
Unless you wish to be labelled a mindless whinger by the small number of
usenet residents who don't already know that to be true, the idea is to
suggest somebody better for the job.
BTW, Bell scored six fewer runs in the series than did Vaughan in the same
number of innings.
Andrew
How about this MCintosh bloke is he in with any chance?
Oh look, it's the pompous old blowhard Dungford crawling back online
like a diseased cockroach crawling out a sewer. I'd suggest Guptill or
my dead Granny over him.

Vaughan has a career average in the low 40's. Bell has a career average
in the mid 20's. Nice shot to get out to today by the way. What was that
shot called? Still, at least he did better than Sinclair. That man
disapoints me more, because Bell is a talentless hack...whereas Sinclair
has some skill if he just bothered to apply himself.
Drop them both to the curb I say. Both of them have had multiple
oppertunities and never of them took it. Never select them again, even
if they average a 100 in a season in FC cricket.

Thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge of the NZ cricket scene with
the newsgroup.
Guptill? Ah yes, the bloke who lost Auckland the one-day final by batting
too slowly and has one fewer first-class century than Shane Bond i.e. none.
He may turn out to be vaguely talented; if and when he manages to average
above 23 in first-class cricket, do get back to us.

Yes, thanks for that rant there Andrew. The fact that I included Guptill
in the same list as my dead granny seems to have escaped your limited
brain. To spell it out for you, since your brainpower is clearly the
same as that of a slightly retarded worm...I was taking the piss out of
Guptill.
In fact, Dungford, let me explain it again to you. Bell is so shit, that
even flotsam such as Guptil and the bones of my granny would be better.
Get it?

My fault for assuming you might actually be capable of contributing
something of worth rather than whinging. Thanks for once again confirming
that isn't the case.
It's a simple enough request: instead of doing nothing more than running
players down, suggest somebody who might do a better job than Bell.
Andrew
He's done that; he suggested his dead granny.
Now, it's up to you to tear into the poor lady and prove that her
cricketing skills are worse than Bell's. Should you find the task
distasteful, you could think about how you ended up in such a
situation.
Bobs's posts are meant to be enjoyed, not analysed or responded to.

Jayen
I don't have much confidence that Cumming or Papps would actually have
scored many more runs, but they at least wouldn't have looked so
palpably out of their depth.

Mathew Sinclair needed to take the time to play himself in on that
pitch just as Andrew Strauss had. Instead he threw it all away trying
to dominate too early (again).
Nonetheless, I thought the farewell applause was a bit muted....

ROLF.

England fans disappointed it was Sinclair's last match. Plus most
spectators probably fell asleep waiting for him to leave the pitch.

He wanted to make sure the TV cameras had spotted the hideous cracks
that had formed in the pitch which resulted in the ball spiralling up
in the air off his text-book perfect defensive stroke.
Had it not been for that, well, who knows what score he may have ended
up with? 7, 8...
Kees
Well, butter up my nuts and smoke them with a bit of parsley on the
side. Kees! I thought you had died?
As if you have never done that yourself.
Hypocrite.
Sinclair scored one run more than Martin and that ought to be enough to
silence even the most vociferous of his detractors, including you.
Andrew
Mr Andrew Dunford,
Mathew Bell career average is 24.* and Vaughans is 42.*
No comparison.
You must be very new to cricket.

Mr Jayen,
May I know the logic behind your comment that Bobs posts should
not be analysed and responded to ?
I thought it was very sensible that Mathew Bell is the worst
opener "he has seen".
Mr Andrew Dunford clearly failed to comprehend the sarcasm in
Bobs comparison of Mathew Bell with Guptill and his Granny.
The unnecessary crossposting gives you away, Jaived.

It was either hell or read your posts on rec.sport.cricket.
I drew the short straw.
