GO CUBS!!!
Tony Greig and RE "Tip" Foster are two that I know of. I'm sure that
there must be many more.

Sorry, my mistake. It's epilepsy that Greig suffers from, nit diabetes.
Justin Kemp, I think. And I know Bob Woolmer was at the time of his
death, but I'm less sure that he'd had it long-term.

And another is Richard Doughty, the former Gloucestershire and Surrey
player. You need to read nearly to the end of this article to find that
mentioned:

A bit more online searching turned up two more:
John McLaren, one Test for Australia in 1912.
Wynne Bradburn, two Tests for NZ in 1964 and father of Grant Bradburn.
His diabetes may have developed after his playing days.
Craig McMillan is another.

Wow. I knew Greig suffered from epileptic seizures -- that he was
diabetic as well, I had no clue. No matter how tiresome he is as a
commentator and was as a player, there was no questioning the man's
guts.

As in? Playing against fast bowlers? Or do you mean his combative
personality (assuming that he was combative).
Sorry to digress from the Diabetes bit in the thread.

Hopefully you've now seen my correction. Sorry about that. I'm afraid
that senility is setting in (with me, not with Greig!).
I remember him winding up Lillee & Thommo in the 75 bloodbath series
-- standing up the barrage and returning fire with fire. Wasn't the
brightest thing to do, and I'm sure his non-striker wasn't happy, but
the man had more guts than brains.

It set in for Greig a long time ago.
