1. They broke the spirit of sportsmanship by strategizing cheaply to
bowl underarm to a NZ batsman.
2. Greg tried his best to break the unity in Indian team by inventing
a rift between seniors and juniors when none existed. See how the
Indian team, a healthy mix of seniors and juniors, has done so well in
last 2 years after Kirsten joined.
3. Ian is jealous of Tendulkar, period. He asked Sachin to retire at
the age of 33. Can you beleive? And now he has to suck his thumbs
with Sachin showing Ian his real worth by making a humongous comeback
as a top batsman in last 3 years. Now Ian is trying to best to vent
his frustration by making entertaining XI, toilet cleaning XI and so
on. Idiot.
4. Look at Warne and Mcgrath. They are the people due to whom Aussies
became No.1 in Test cricket. Add Gilly, Hayden, Martyn etc as the
other people in the champion team. All of them have high regards of
Tendulkar and count him as the best of all times though they may not
vocally say Sachin is better than Bradman for fear of being castigated
in Australia. Look at te respect with which they rate Sachin. But Greg
and Ian, esentially 70s players, have nothing i repeat nothing to deal
with Sachin, they never played against him and know nothing about the
"Kohinoor Diamond" value that Sachin brings as an Indian cricket
player. They just comment out of their arse still living in the past
where WI and Aus were the only cricket forces. Idiots.
Wanna hear from Trevor too. Does he complete the triumvarate of the "3
Idiots"? :-)

I'm sorry it hurts you so much that Tendulkar can never match Bradman.
There's probably counselling available somewhere.
Andrew
Trevor is fine. It's his brothers that got hit with the Dumbass Stick.
Ian the most, ofc.
Surely if SRT started playing worse, he'd eventually lower himself to
match Bradman, no?
Dungford, can you just focus on the 4-0 thrashing of the black craps
for now?
I know people in your country are sick of talking only about
embarassing
defeats that they keep butting their necks into issues of cricket
players of
other countries.

In these IPL times in which people are regularly talking up club-based
competitions and speaking against so-called 'passport' cricket, it's almost
a relief to come across somebody as ridiculously parochial as you. Keep up
the good work.

Ian Chappell was retired and, as I recall was in the commentary box
saying that winning a cricket match wasn't worth it.

You obviously haven't listened to Ian Chappell commenting on
Tendulkar, he's not really stinting with the praise.

The timing of the column about the XI matches with Tendulkar's peak
against Aus at the age of 37
in the just-concluded Test series. As if he purposely wanted to put
Sachin down in some way
in this useless pretext of so-called entertainers when Tendulkar had
just about decimated Australia
and Ponting in the recent series at the end of D5 of T2. This
frustration even carried over to some
athletes in CWG who abused Sachin in frustration and threw down
washing machines in disgust
of defeat.

Dosen't seem that way having gone through lot of interviews from
Warnie and Mcgrath
where surely they put Tendulkar in a pedestal. And it looked like they
were not wanting
to tell the taboo phrase of "Sachin is best of all times". Gilly
recently came close
few days back calling Sachin as all time best.

Why your whole response was centred around Bradman? That was not
the main point of this thread i started. Main point is about how the
Chappell
brothers have been responsible for dissing Indian team and India's
kohinoor
in particular from time to time.
Don
> >There's probably counselling available somewhere.- Hide quoted text -
It has nothing to do with that. Fact is you always butt into
controversial convos involving
players from other countries as if things were great with your players
which certainly
is not as seen with the 4-0 thrashing at the hands of the minnows.
What was the
point of focussing only on Bradman in my post when the whole post was
about
the Chappals.
Don
Don
Oh run away, Don, you racist turd.
So Chappelli didn't pick TAV as one of his XI entertainers, big fucken
deal.
You and your sidekick see every post that doesn't say 'TAV is the best
ever' as a deliberate put down.
You're a sad specimen
Higgs
Did you look into the mirror and say that, you piece of junk?
TAV is indeed the best ever as also acknowledged by many cricket
players, so it indeed
is a issue with us that he is not part of a world XI. Guess you are
too dumb to realize
this fact.
Don
What's Chappelli done now? Gone and said something like "Tendulkar is
not the best player ever in the entire universe, since the big bang,
and it's OK to not have 'I love Sachin' tattoos on at least 3 parts of
one body?" What next I ask? I can see the lurid, provocative headline
on Cricinfo :"Chappell says that chanting Tendulkar's name may not be
enough to break the cycle of birth, death and re-birth."
Bob, didn't expect this asnine post from you at least.
I was reiterating all that was done by Chappellis against Tendulkar
over the years.
Which included cornering him in the speculated senior-junior rift in
Indian team
post 2007 world cup, writing artciles asking him to retire in 2007.
The timing
of the entertaining XI is another in the series of the attempts made
by
these bros in putting down Sachin.
It seems they are in denail regarding Sachin's all-time greatness and
that
Champion tag on the Aussie team is passe now.
Don

No. The point is that rsc posters are not generally members of their
national cricket teams and one's right to post is not related to one's
nationality or the performance of the team a poster supports. Fact is you
have always made idiotic statements in this regard.
Why are you talking about the Chappells? They're not Indian.
Andrew
Why don't you, Shantanu and Shridhar all run away again, just like you
did on 17th June 2010?
Higgs
Strange turn of events when I reply to one of Ken's posts to respond
to somebody in my killfile.

containing quotes
"At the moment he looks like a player trying to eke out a career;
build on a glittering array of statistics. If he really is playing for
that reason and not to help win as many matches as he can for India
then he is wasting his time and should retire immediately. "
"Tendulkar hasn't worn as well; his last three or four years have been
a shadow of his former self. His double century at the SCG in January
2004 was a classic case of a great player really struggling. He came
to the crease out of form and despite amassing all those runs and
batting for in excess of ten hours he was no closer to recapturing his
best touch than he was when he started out. It was a tribute to his
determination but it was a sad sight to see; there are enough average
players around that you don't won't to see a class one reduced to that
level.
Tendulkar hasn't been as lucky as Lara; the Indian batsman has
suffered a lot of injuries in this period where his play has
deteriorated and there is nothing that melts your mental approach
quicker than physical handicaps."
So he thought Tendulkar's game had been reduced to a lower standard
than it used to be due to injuries and didn't think he'd be back near
his best.
Not exactly an uncommon thought around at the time when you're
thinking about a 34 year old with a lot of injuries

Note the number of XI columns that cricinfo has pulled out recently.
I believe it's a build up to something being released
>> in this useless pretext of so-called entertainers when Tendulkar had
>> just about decimated Australia
Frankly as entertainers I'd pick Sobers, Lara and Viv ahead of
Tendulkar and I'd consider Weekes, Worrell, Walcott, Pollock to have
claims ahead of Tendulkar
I'd pick Compton ahead of Hutton.
I'd probably pick McCabe ahead of Bradman as an entertainer
>> and Ponting in the recent series at the end of D5 of T2.
considering the test finished on the 13th and the column was published
on the 15th the odds are pretty reasonable that he'd submitted it
before Tendulkar's innings happened.

Much more likely is that they were yobs who drank too much and made
idiots of themselves rather than it having anything to do with the
cricket.
