I just hope Trinidad's corner is smart enough to have something with which
to cover himself real well for his entrance into the ring and for in between
rounds. Trinidad, as the challenger, will assumedly be entering the ring
first, and it will not surprise me if Reid and his management keep Felix
waiting in the cold, outdoor stadium several minutes. Add to that, the
(presumably) singing of two national anthems, and you've got a fighter who
has lost his 'sweat'. This could afford Reid the opportunity to attempt to
jump on a, literally, cold Trinidad, who has not been known to be one of the
faster starting fighters in the business. If I were Don King, I'd have had
heaters installed above the ring and near the corners of the fighters.
Trinidad, being from Puerto Rico, will likely be the one to suffer more from
the chill of the night than will Reid, who is likely more used to cold
weather. Personally, I don't like it when fighters have to deal with more
than the other fighter across the ring. Especially when it's the fighter
for whom I'm pulling. I just hope a lack of planning by Team Trinidad does
not enter into the outcome of this fight.
