Graham Cheney history??

I am trying to peice together the fight history of Spike Cheney, imo he
would have won a world title if his mind hadn't fallen to peices. He won
silver at soul 88 at light welter, anyone know who the opponent was and if
they turned pro? He is listed as having only four fights but i know he had
more.I have a feeling he won the Australian title in only his 1st or second
fight, and fought Alberto Cortes who was 52-1 at the time and has faced Ike
Quartey, Trinidad, Lester Ellis, Cesar Chavez and antonio diaz in his third
or fourth fight and won,pretty impressive. However he was plagued with
personal problems which ended his career. Please add any info that is
relevant to his pro or amatuer career, thanks

Here are some odds and ends...

In the 1988 Seoul Olympics. he lost to a Vyacheslav Yanovsky URS(BLR) (don't
believe he turned pro) for the gold medal by a Dec 5-0. He fought his way
through to the final in the light-welterweight division after first beating
opponents from Paraguay and Ghana.He then won a narrow 3-2 decision over
United States boxer Todd Foster (this boxer is the one who punched/knocked
down his Korean opponent because of confusion between a bell or horn
sounding in an adjacent ring...later that day he was forced to box again)
and then won against a boxer from Sweden by the name of Lars Myrberg.

Welterweight champion Grahame Cheney of Australia announced on March 26,
1996 that he is retiring due to CFIDS
(Chronic Fatigue and Immune Deficiency Syndrome).

Can somebody confirm this next statement? I could swear I remember seeing
something about him being homeless now.
