weed ,the songs with less lyrics you should listen to(Grateful Dead, sounds
of nature etc.). The less potent the weed the more true to life lyrics
should be listened to (Hendrix, Zepplin, And Floyd).
The one thing you should never listen to when smoking weed is anything
that ROY Jones sings. Especially that last song "You musta Forgot" , This
song can send your calm laid back pot trip to a paraniod living hell,
reason is that, Jones's lyrics make the Pot smoker feel that he has Forgot
everything from boxing to what Roy thinks you forgot. When your stoned,
forgetting things is part of the deal.
Maybe Jones's song "You musta forgot:" is going to be used for the war
on drugs campaign.

I think to truly enjoy a blunt. One should be naked and around naked
friends. You should help one another to orgasm and get over the fact
that their daddies anal raped them by the light of the moon when they
were young. I want to say however, I do not advocate drugs to youngster
or old people who are low on retirement funds. I think snorting cocaine
and rubbing your nipples while telling people in the room your good
friends with Tony Montana is ok...but when you take a cigarette and
learn to puff it using your asshole as the intake orifice...well what I
say is crack-smoking is where I draw the line...even if the cigarette is

but if you haven't try to get your hands on "Mingus plays piano" Its
all solo piano work ("Myself When I'm Real" is on this one) and it
gives an interesting look into Mingus' composing style.

teens I would toke up to some heavy duty devil music (No, I'm not a
satanist) like Dark Angel, and Mercyful Fate. In my later teens when I was
in a blind mellon state it was Aerosmith, Digital Underground, and dare I
say Metallica. Throughout my early twenties I had reached another plane of
herbal enlightenment, and Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, some
Chili-Peppers and Mazzy Star blended nicely with altered states. I quit
doing drugs a couple of years ago, but if I was puffing the sage today it
would probably be to some cool industrial, most of it sucks, but some Dust
Brothers, The Crystal Method and Switchblade Symphony are pretty good, I'd
definitely still have Bob Marley and a lot of different Reggae in the mix as
well as some of the newer stuff like Korn and Rage against the Machine, but
I'd stay as far away from Jimmy's Chicken Shack as I could.

Lady is my favorite Mingus album, among many. Like Fables of Faubus. Mingus
Plays Piano, great like all of it.

names of this newsgroup are drug-users. How can you
follow a sport which requires you to be clean to win? Or
has drug use become so commonplace that even this
generation of prize fighters is dirty with that puking
garbage? What are you guys trying to escape from? Are
your lives so pitiful with misery that you have to numb
your brains with drugs? I don't use dope and I gave up

I used to smoke pot daily during my early/mid twenties. I essentially quit
around 20 years ago. I used to sell and grow pot back then. I always kept
about a 1/2 ounce of the different types of pot I came bought (and more if I
grew it). Just this past year, I finally threw out all of the pot I'd been
storing (probably about 3 ounces). I told my 16 year old daughter about
that, and she couldn't believe it. I'm sure she wishes she'd found it, as
she'd discovered my booze (some of which are bottles I bought 28 years
ago.). I quit smoking pot because: the smoke affected my lungs/respiration,
my (then) wife didn't like coming home and talking to someone who said,
"Huh?", I preferred being concious to being stoned, and once I smoked pot,
the rest of that evening was essentially limited to certain activities
(which wasn't necessarily bad if sex was involved).
There never was a drug I needed to have. Even if I had a gram of coke, it
would go bad (get all moist and clumpy) before I generally got around to
finishing it (this was over twenty years ago). Even when I was addicted to
cigarettes (which were the most difficult to stop using), one night when I
was sick with a chest cold, I said to myself, "This (smoking) is
disgusting", and put my pack of Camel Filters (IIRC) on the coffee table.
Two months later, the cigarettes were still on the coffee table. I figured
I'd kicked the habit and walked to my neighbor and gave him my unfinished
carton of smokes. Later, I became a charter member of GASP (Group Against
Smoking Pollution), the first (to my knowlegde) group to move against
smoking in public places. A local (San Jose) state legislator pushed
through a ban, the first one to my knowledge, on smoking in grocery stores
(I was a grocery clerk at the time).
The point: Life can turn out great, even with some drug use.

You know, not everyone who has a toke on a joint or a drink has a problem.
I rarely drink, but every now and then I will get drunk. I wish I did it
more often, but I usually don't put myself (or put myself) in situations
where being drunk would be appropriate to my maximizing my enjoyment.
My saying: "Moderation to excess." I don't worry about doing a little of
this or a little of that. Who knows what will end up in this body when I'm
in Thailand? The human body is incredibly resillient to most things people
do, if done in moderation. Those who worry about things do far more damage
to themselves than those who partake in ellicit activities in moderate
degrees. I think a lot of the 'health nuts' who worry about every little
bit of food or substance they ingest are not as healthy as those who do what
they want, merely avoiding large amounts of sugar,
high-carb/hydrogenated-fat snack foods, tobacco and alcohol.
I'll take "the Pepsi challenge" with other 50 year olds. I could take 'the
challenge' with most 30 year olds and come out on top. Moderation baby.

Old stuff is the best to listen to if your high. Stuff you normally would hate
or not give a chance can be great when high. Doobie Brothers are ok, listen to
the music, long train running, black water and china grove are all good songs
by them. I can think of a ton of others.

Lots of Led Zeppelin stuff is good while stoned stairway to heaven,
heartbreaker, the ocean, over the hills and far away, dancing days are some of
my favorites by them. Lynyrd skynyrd are good as well, some of my favorites,
free bird, gimme three steps, and tuesdays gone. Purple Haze, Manic Depression
all along the watchtower are good hendrix songs.

Theres another good choice, pink floyd. I highly recommend listening to dark

There are too many beatles songs to list. Not to mention some great solo songs
by the members. I especially like the lennon songs during the beatles times
like 'hey bulldog'. There early sixties stuff which is mostly played on oldies
stations nowadays are real good too, but there drugged out songs are the late
sixties albums, starting at revolver.
