Which one will have fought more hopeless stiffs in their careers?
Rack up another one of Chavez Jr as he just blew out another no hoper
in one round on Telefutura tonight. Telefutura who usually puts on
good fight cards should be ashamed of the way they promoted Chavez Jr
tonight, what a piece of fluff. If you saw it you know what I am
talking about.

He is in only his sixth fight.Give him a couple of years before you make
such comments. Cheez!!!!!!

I can understand that he is early in his career. However he is being
very well publicized.. He has been on several PPV's and was on
Telefutura on Friday night. He is being touted like he is the next
great thing, lets see him try to show it against a little stiffer
opposition.. Telefutura dedicated a large portion of the broadcast to
him so we could see him stop a total stiff in the first round, and the
stoppage was premature at best. The end result I'm sure would have
been the same, but this is twice now where I have seen ref's in his
fights seem over-eager to call the fight on a KO. A fighter with this
much fuss being made about him should be able to step it up to at least
"C" level competition IMO.

Chavez was a legend and the Spanish media is still trying to capitalize on
his name. Didn't you notice that after the fight, the interviewer spent more
time talking to SR. than to JR? I think it's too early to tell if the young
Chavez will be a world-class fighter. I thing I am sure of is that he won't
be as good as his father.
