I've seen him around here before.
He plays real strong.
Were you curious about more? =P

Deafness never kept composers from hearing the music.
It only stopped them hearing the distractions.

yes, the jellybeans were definitely flowing into Mr. Cooney's pocket
on that one. But it was a helluva match to drop by and watch. =)
So how does this separate him from most other pool players? :)

You're not doing Cliff Joyner's reputation any good here.

Jack Cooney is an excellent one-pocket player and an even better
gambler. He keeps a book on everybody, knows what he needs to win,
and is very patient. I would love to have the opportunity and cash to
play him sometime, along with the talent I'd need to keep up. Joey
has probably seen Jack's game fairly often.
Times like this, I wish I was back 70 miles from Mr Cue #2! Maybe
they'll still be there this summer...

Of what worth is someone who cannot be trusted to pay back his
debts? This isn't just a minor character flaw.

That is more than you get from many top pool players. So from my point of
view, there is great value in Cliff Joyner.
Just remember the old saying, "A fool and his money are soon departed".

Yeah, and how much money does Cliff have? It sounds as if Cliff and
his money have parted on many occassions.

That would be you.

That would be Cliff.
I honestly don't know the answer to that question.

Uhhhh, yeah.

I forgot. In order for Cliff to part with his money he must
have money in the first place.
I love this idea of a backer. A backer, IMO, has to be the
biggest sucker of all. What kind of deal is that? "Gee, if I put
up a thousand bucks and win, I win $500." A person placing a side
bet would win $1000. DOH!
How pool players manage to talk people into backing them I have
no idea.

Then Mozart must be worthless also.
demonrho
Yeah, to those he borrowed money from he was probably worthless.
Are you saying that Mozart borrowed money he didn't pay back?
What a scumbag.
--
John (Doesn't like Mozart anyway.)
It's still a bad bet. Compared to this bet, playing in a casino
is a sure-thing.
