Brad who looks like Haystack Calhoun

cuezilla.com along with cuemuseum.com are the latest efforts of the IPT's Deno
Andrews, who's pictured there. It's good to see Fred and Jimbo featured as well.

Darn! Ed Mercier's old site at "playpool.com" has just recently been taken
over by someone else and is being reworked -- the jury's still out as to the
intent of the new site owners. Ed used to have all kinds of downloadable,
ready-to-go blank tournament brackets and other neat pool stuff, AS WELL AS
a fine RSB "Rogues' Gallery" on his site, now well out of date. It's all
gone now -- but, I DID find a copy of Ed's "Rogues' Gallery" at another
site. But, it looks like this is only temporary, as I ran across a link
that tries to redirect back to the "new" "playpool.com." Anyway, here's the
current working link:
http://www.fortunecity.com/underworld/raider/1050/a.htm
Although I had no problem going from page-to-page by clicking on the
alphabetic navigation hyperlinks, this can, nonetheless, sometimes take you
to the false auto-redirection page (it DID happen to me once when I first
found the site, but not afterward).
If this happens to you, press the "Back" button on the browser toolbar until
you are at your last page, then modify the alpha index character in the
above URL and press <ENTER>; i.e, in the filename at the end of the URL
("a.htm"), replace the "a" with "b", or whatever alphabetic page you wish to
see -- make sure you use lower-case. Quite a few of the pages are "VACANT,"
while the "m's" have "m," "m2," and "m3," and the "s's" have "s" and "s2."
Have fun!

I think most of those pictures and bios were posted around 1998 or
1999. That was an interesting time for RSB. I think it was one of
the most active newsgroups at that time, sometimes with 75 to 100
posts in a single day, a good fraction of which were on topic or
just slightly off-topic. Also, of course, several of those people
have since passed on.

Ron,
I have always enjoyed your posts. I read Rsb in 98. I Do remember all
the posts there were so many, and there was some differences of
opinion but nothing like this stuff now.
Is baranda sp? still around I think his name is Dave? lived in
Louisville.

Haven't seen him around here anymore, nor do I know if he's kept up his
web site.

Thanks for the plug, Brad. The site is Deno Andrews' and the brainchild
was Deno and Dick Abbott ( billiardcue.com and thisisamesmister.com )
To my knowledge, the site has nothing to do with the IPT.
